The V3 was meant to be a 6v device, but you can run a 17670(I think thats the right number) battery in it for 3.7volt vaping.
Its like comparing a connon to a shotgun. The v3 at 6v is heavy on the TH, but may make some juices taste burnt. At 3.7v, it's still going to hit harder than an ego and last about 2-3 times longer on a single charge. Butas sexy as the V3 is, the ego is much smaller to carry around. Me personally if I had only these two to buy, it would be the V3 hands down. Non proprietary battery, easily serviceable and the ability for HV vaping
I've been rotating between a V2 (5v) w/high voltage atty and an Ego w/LR atty most days. For me, vapor production is about equal; but the 'hit' is different; I use 12mg. juice on the V2 but have to use 24mg. juice on the Ego to get the same feeling. Higher voltage produces a warmer vapor and therefore, my personal favorite it the V2; however, the Ego w/LR Carto is what I grab when I have to go out for any length of time (battery life and easy to carry). Depending on lifestyle, I'd say you need both!
