Hi Amy

Would it be possible to stock the echo cartomizers (like these) but with dual coil like this?

Hi polz, thank you for your asking.

They are FAR better than the single coil type

Thanks for considering

we did test them a few months ago. however, we did not find any big difference between them and echo cartomizers on vapor and throat hit. on the contrary, it is much expensive than echo cartomizer. so we do not plan to sell them.

sorry.:)

Its not because they hold more juice, the vapor and flavor are much nicer on my ego battery. They seem to last longer before getting funky. I really like them.

Thank you for your input. that is helpful. but i am very sorry that we do not plan to sell them because the single coil one price is almost same as dual coil ones. :)

Health Cabin should seriously reconsider carrying the Smoktech xl 510 LR single coil 1.7Ohm cartos! aka "CCV Resurrectors", ..and also House Branded by MANY north American companies, some who try to keep the manufacturer's name and model type secret!

Please understand the North American market which is mainly dominated by the eGo class e-cig running regulated 3.x volt or unregulated 4.2 Volts and less.

We are flooded with these Dual Coils that have been pushed onto our marketplace that don't deliver the Full Taste for e-liquid made in the USA or Canada.

Besides Price & Quality, It's all about the Watts! It's the Watts at the Coil.
A lot of the domestic flavours enjoyed here need those extra Watts at the coil to release the Full Flavours into the vapour stream. With Dual Coils that Wattage @ each coil is Lower, hence lower Flavour! There maybe more vapor, especially with all PG e-Liquid, but it has less Flavour then a coil running at higher Watts.

For example.
A Dual Coil (1.5Ohm) Carto that uses 3.2 Ohms coils on a 3.7 regulated PV (Personal Vaporizer).
Each Coil delivers only 4.3 Watts of Heat to vapourize Flavour and Nicotine.
There's more Vapour because there's 2 coils, but there's less Quality in that vapour due to lack of full flavour, Nicotine, throat hit...

Take a Boge single Coil (2.0-2.2ohm) on a 3.7 regulated PV.
That's 6.2 - 6.8 Watts
Ah! More Watts, more Flavour!

Take a Smoktech LR (1.7Ohm) on a 3.7 regulated PV.
That's 8.1 Watts!
Even more Watts and Flavour! ..and Nicotine, and throat hit!

8 Watts is right in the sweet spot for many e-liquids to deliver their full spectrum of flavor!
Darwin users who set their PV by Watts can tell you that 6.2 to 8.2 Watts is the zone for Great Vape!

3 ways that increases Watts @ the coil, Raise the Voltage, Lower the Resistance or with PWM power regulated devices, increase the Pulse Width. Lowering the Resistance by adding a second coil in parallel won't do it.

With the most popular 'market dominating' PV's in North America being 4.2 Volts and under, the Dual Coils miss the mark.

Dual Coils work great at Higher Voltage above 4.5 Volts. With Lithium Ion Batteries in e-cigs being 3.7 Volts (3.2 - 4.2 operating voltage) you need lower resistance of a single coil to get the higher Wattage to bring out the full flavours, Nicotine, throat hit... Smoktech admitted to me personally and others I know, that the Dual coils were designed for higher voltage! (Higher Voltage = Higher Watts!)

Another disadvantage of the Dual Coils is that by not releasing into the vapour stream all of the flavour components efficiently is that they get left behind in the Carto fiber, wicking and on (and @) the coil. This leads to build up, clogging and further loss of flavour. If you run a Boge Carto on a eGo Battery until it losses most of it's flavour delivery (and also the Nicotine delivery) and then place that Carto onto a Darwin PV and continue to vape bringing the wattage up to 8.0 Watts, then returning the Boge Carto back to the eGo battery, It will have regained a lot of it's flavour and Nicotine releasing ability! You will have vaped off the build up/crud that would not move at lower wattage.

Another fact of the of Higher Wattage @ the coil is, the nicotine is better vapourized! That's more throat hit and a better nicotine delivery! Isn't that what we're after beside flavour?

Thank you for your input. that is helpful. but i am very sorry that we do not plan to sell them because the single coil one price is almost same as dual coil ones.

We don't care that the Dual Coils are almost the same price as the Single coils! Just because there's 2 coils doesn't make them better on all performance points. In North America we prefer more VG in our e-liquid to increase the vapour volume, Dual Coils that lack Flavour and Nicotine delivery are just a illusion. We now know what makes great vape, dual coils that are using lower Wattage @ the coil is a step int the wrong direction! Unless you can magically turn all the eGo & Riva batteries out there into 4.7 - 6.0 Volt devices, we need Cartomizers that will deliver performance! Not just a impressive looking cloud of smoke, or vape!

So why do many of use like the Smoktech XL LR 1.7 Carto over the Boge LR?
- More Watts @ the Coil = More Flavour, Better Nicotine release, better throat hit, Longer cleaner running coil, more time before build up in carto. - Better Fiber. The Smoketech's Filler lasts much longer, is more robust, holds a little more liquid, and doesn't "Fluff Up" as much as the Boge. The Boge fiber can often "Fluff Up" and close over the air channel restricting air flow/vape delivery.

Every single Boge LR fan (and there is a lot of them) that I've given the Smoketech XL LR 1.7's to Really enjoys them! After a week or 2, they would prefer to use them!

None of the online stores in China sell the Smoktech XL LR 1.7Ohm Cartos, that I know of. Many of us have tried to get them to, but we're continually told to go suck a Boge or Dual Coil :(

Cheers to Good Vape!

hey citylights- have you tried the smoktech 1.5 or 2.0 ohm single coil cartos? I can get a good deal on those but not sure if I will like them as much. They also sell regular sized ones(as opposed to the XLs)- have you tried those? To me, smaller carto= less juice wasted when the carto goes bad
Hey there sln88, I haven't, but occasionally I get one of the Smoktech XL 1.7Ohm test out of the box box @ 1.5 or 2.0 Ohms, and few bad ones lower then 1.5 Ohms. I found the 1.4 and lower Cartos too Hot on a eGo Battery. Under Load that's close to 9 Watts! On a fully charged unregulated eGo clone battery that's Over 9 Watts! I find many flavours start to get destroyed beyond 8.8 Watts regardless of what Attie/Carto or device that is powering the set up.

Please keep in mind that a genuine eGo battery is PWM and all figures are ball park calculations. The Watts drawn @ the coil better illustrates what we are all really after when we select Higher Volts with a VV mod or a Lower Resistance Atties & Cartos. The Dual coils with their Low Resistance rating is a curve ball that doesn't make it over the plate.

Vape hard and prosper :)-~

How do you think the 1.5 would work on a 4.3 V echo, or a VV passthru?
Theoretically, 1.5 Ohm on a 4.3 power source would draw 12.3 Watts (that's Hot)
Under load, or real world use, that voltage would drop some and so would the total Watts consumed.
Also the current available would depend on the Pulse Width Duty cycle of the voltage regulator, PWM - Pulse Width Modulation.
I haven't used or tested the new VV pass-through so I can't speak of it's power and current handling.

would the 2.0 ohm be good on an ego?
Yes the 2.0 Ohm would be great on the eGo, ..if it is a 650mah or higher Battery. It will not be as rough on the Battery and power circuit as a 1.5 Ohm. The eGo battery useful life will be longer than with a 1.5 Ohm, the time of use on a single charge will be longer as well.

I can't recommend 1.5 Ohm on the eGo's. Your at the limits of what the power circuit can handle and the current the battery can safely deliver without stressing the battery internally. Remember the +/- tolerance of Atties and Cartos. A 1.5 Carto with +/- of 0.2 Ohms could be 1.3 -1.7 Ohms out of the box. This is why I stick to 1.7 as the lowest Ohm for my cartos on a eGo.

may i know the reason? whether XL ones can hold more ejuice?

we plan to sell boge XL 510D soon. :)
Ha! You told me Boge told you they weren't going to make the XL version when I asked! :)

Citylights: By the way, HC will often take advice on why to carry products and they will suddenly appear so don't give up hope. I enjoy the DC's but I have a VV mod, only the 1.5-1.6 ohm DC's work with eGos but probably work better at higher voltages like you said. There's a market for both and nobody is being forced to use them. People need to educate themselves on the points you made so kudos for the good explanation.

Thanks siouxsie, I Like the Boge too, but the filler is sub-par compared to the Smoketech. I've almost given up on Boge due to the Fluffing-Up of the filler after a few days and reducing air flow. This happens way more often and sooner if I'm using a bottom feeder, lolz. The times I've pulled the Boge filler out by accident that was on a bottom feeder when just trying to pull the white cap out, I can't count, lolz. It fluff's right up to the end cap like a growing monster. I use a dental pick to pull the end caps out and the fiber comes with it. The Smoktech's don't have this problem, better filler! I also like the XL sized carto's in LR since the vape temp comes out a little cooler and they are nicer for Tank Mods. So XL Boge is going to be nice to have too, I often use the non-LR boge on my VV mods.

Both the Boge and the Smoktech Vertical coils also work better for darker and heavier juices, like high VG and Chocolates. I'm finding he new Kanger/Smokless Image/Bloog/Halo G6... Horizontal coils bog & clog down with heavier VG and DIY flavours like Cappella Chocolate. I'm guessing the tight core of silica wick the e-liquid has to traverse to get to the center side of the coil for vaping is the reason. When I DIY e-liquid for the Horizontal coils I keep the VG content under 30% now. There is a place for Vertical coils still, it would be nice to see a new design of the air core vertical coil with better singe proofing coil wrapper wicking, such as one made of silica fabric. One that could wick well with the higher VG juice so many North Americans love to vape :)

I know, and I'm hopeful ;) this is why they are the only distributor I'm posting my thoughts too. They can deliver them at the price we want instead of having to rely on local North American venders. I wish Smoktech would get on the ball and design by Wattage @ the coil per device to be used. Evolv and their Darwin got it right! As much as I hate the aesthetics of the Darwin's psychical design, the set by Wattage is the end all to the VV fad!

BTW, for anyone that doesn't know. Changing Voltage is also changing Wattage! Wattage is just the end of the total equation. The true statement of Power is Wattage, not Voltage.

Vape long and prosper!

Yes. Boge did not make XL ones at the beginning. but later they did agree to our proposal. so we expect to get Boge XL 510D (Regular & LR) in stock very soon. :)

Thanks for the advice citylights. I am still hoping that HC will rethink stocking these

one more ? I have used Boge 2.0, and they were "ok". The smoktech 1.7 were superior on flavor, vapor and how long they lasted before getting 'funky'

Do you think I will get the same flavor satisfaction with a 2.0 smok tech? in other words, is the better flavor with the smok tech due to the lower ohms? or just the fact that it is a smok tech?

have you compared the regular size smok tech with the XLs? any difference? I prefer the size of a smaller carto just because it wastes less juice when performance dies off. But will the regular size work as well as the XLs?

My VV passthru is supposed to be 3.2,3.7,4.2 V. Honestly, when I click thru them, I can't tell much of a difference
