Proper orientation of Atlantis drip-tip o-ring?

I took my Atlantis apart last week; I was confused however, when putting the drip-tip's o-ring back, and couldn't quite decide which way was right. I tried them both (well, as far as having the "lip" on the ring facing inwards, so it would fit in one of the 2 slots that are machined into the driptip), they both seemed to work alright; however, I would like to get an actual definitive answer on that... perhaps you all might know?
