I hear many people pronounce it "snoose"
I have always pronounced it "snus" just as it is spelled

also when you see "los" snus...its pronounced loose

The los goose ate the snus (it all rhymes). Funny though, I still say snus, like fuss. Drives Momma crazy, but then I miss-pronounce everything. You'd think she'd get used to it after all these years

Oh, and -- I'd always pronounced it (in my head, since I've never needed to say the word out loud) as "snooze." It makes sense, if you ask me. It's spelled similarly to the word "gnus" (which is the plural of "gnu," an African antelope species), and "gnus" is pronounced using the "ooze" sound. But I'm not Swedish, so, I didn't know any better.

And I always thought it was gnees! Mouse after all is meeses and it does follow that if you've more than one grouse, why you've greese!
