Yes -
Mistral is the only one I found. The local farm suppliers don't keep it.
It's more a surprise that it should be so expensive compared with glycerol.
Other chemical supply companies don't seem to keep it, although I saw one American site that did it cheaper but that's no use cos of transport costs
Makes dilution with PG much less cost effective.

I purchased the Mistral PG about 6 months ago off ebay, but at that time, they were advertising it as BP/USP. Later listings dropped the BP/USP classification and when someone (it may have been Nick O Teen?) contacted them to check whether or not it was pharma grade, they were told it was not.

So, just a word of warning here... if it's not marked as BP or USP, it mot likely isn't.

Hi Angela, Probably about a month ago now so they may well have changed it since. Oh, and its Jeff ;)
:D;);)

Gotta go and check mine now!!

Yep, OK.

Won't they sell the BP/USP one any more then?

C.
No idea if they will sell it if you contact them direct. Mayb they aren't producing it anymore? Certainly not showing on ebay, anyhow.

Maybe someone could contact them to check? (I've got enough here to last me a couple of years!!)

EDIT: I would stress that I didn't contact them to check whether or not it was BP, but someone else reported that they had and they stated it was not, so may be worth checking.

The main one is, I think viscosity, VG is very thick. Otherwise VG is sweet tasting and produces lots of vapour. Some people claim allergy to PG so use VG instead. Pg is otherwise inert. Some also claim tummy upsets.
General consensus seems to be 70-80% PG to20-30%VG as a mixing base.

BTW PG order came this morning from Mistral - super quick, only 48hrs.
