I just wanted to update the
thread for any who encounter this problem!
I did, indeed, fix it, and here's how.
I took a dremel diamond tip...
And
by hand only just twisted it back and forth to add a tiny beveled edge to each of the
three air holes. I did not go all the way through. All this did was open up the outside of the airholes to a curve rather than a 90* angle, thus eliminating the whistle. It did not scuff up the beautiful protank finish and looks and works perfectly now!
