I've been using a Kanger Protank for a few weeks now; I absolutely love it! AFAIK the Tatroe tank is a better built Protank, with a few of the flaws fixed. The Protank 2 seems to have also fixed these flaws. If money isn't really an issue, is there any reason for me to pick up the Protank 2 over the Tatroe tank? If so, why?

Thanks for any future input!

The Tatroe tank would be more bulletproof. Only thing is, I've read some people get a funk metal taste from it. If it was put in a Harbor Freight Ultra-sonic cleaner or something like vinegar or ammonia, that might get rid of the taste. Not too sure, you'd have to see what actual owners have to say. The inside of it being polished to a shine with a dremel might make a difference as well. The inside will look and feel "smooth", but on a micro level it surely isn't. I guess it all depends on why a liquid being heated in a metal container would smell or taste like metal. I should've stayed in school :)

Can you imagine if the base & top were SS and the tanks were one of these from Spectrum Tanks?

Love my Tatroe tank! Indestructible! Looks great, holds some where near a metric ton of juice LOL! The draw is just slightly tighter than a Protank with the Tatroe base and a Protank head. The flavor is stronger than it was with my Protank, and I'm not sure why, it's the same head. I don't get any more "metal taste" out of it than I did my Protank, but I do get more juice flavor, YRMV.
Over all, IMO it's well worth the money.

I don't have the pro-tank 2 yet, but I have 2 of the tatroe tanks, they hold 3.2 ml of juice. I just have to fill them once a day, and I am fine. I do like being able to see how much juice I have, but with these holding so much, they have never gone dry on me. Also with the tatroe bases there is one air hole, right where the base meets the 510 threads (higher than the pro-tank base) has a slightly tighter draw, I like it, but I still want the pro-tank 2.

I have two Tatroe tanks and bases. And, of course, they are far and away better than the original Protanks. But, after getting my first Protank 2 this weekend, it's as if they're tied to me.
They both are AMAZING.
The PT2, you can see your juice level. The Tatroe holds more juice.
Other than those two differences, they are both champs to me.
