No I haven't, mabe you just got a defective coil or something, but the pro tank is the first tank I have ever bought, so my experience is limited. Before this tank, I was useing an ego c tank, so this tank to me is like a cadalac. I am curious about the others out there, but for now, I need to hold off, I have been spending to much on this new hobbie.

did you remove any wicks? I have tried everything cant get it to wick. what vg/pg ratio you using.

also for all you who found the draw airy I was experimenting today. here is what I did to tighten it up. works, still airy and wont wick but better draw then what it was. my lungs hurt from inhaling the nice burn tire taste. gotta put this thing down for now. its killing me.

Well I don't know what else to say. I have tried both heads it came with. Is it at All possible that kanger is having a massive quality control issue? How can some rave about some just doesn't work? I mean there is nothing me or anyone else is doing differently then the people raving about it. I am convinced its a quality control problem.

i dont have any issues with mine whatsoever when pulling a wick out, only with burrs, ect cutting into the seal itself from the inside air pipe/vent. no leaking nor any gurgling with just a wick removal. . never tried the cotton wick thing myself, but ive heard other say they like it. i use 3mm silica and 32 kanthal when i rebuild my protanks.

i have on the leaking issue as i posted before that any burrs or sharp edges will cut the seal and it will leak.

A vendor friend of mine. Smokeevolution.com. It came in the pleather box with the seal and everything. It's not fake. It's a legit protank. I have no doubt in my mind. Says kanger protank on the bottom metal plate.

More of a maybe that vendor got a Funky batch or something. Either way if you build it, the vapor will come :)

Shouldn't have to rebuild anything. It's suppose to come ready to vape. If it was meant to be rebuilt they wouldn't include two heads. I prob will rebuild and try but it pisses me off someone who's new and wants something that works will stumble upon this tank, because it looks awesome, and think dam I want that one. Especially with everyone raving about it. Little does he know, he needs to rebuild it before it performs at all. what's the point? I can rebuild my vivi's too and make them better. But I don't have to. Why buy a clearo to have to rebuilt it? I am talking to the wrong people. I need express my feelings to kanger and I am tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your help. I need to dig dipper into this problem. I won't be able to sleep tonight because I am so heated.

I hear ya but bottom line is either sell and move on or take advice of someone who was in that same position you were in and moved on to a rebuild.

GL with what ever you decide.

Ok well I am sorry but I don't spend $19 dollars on crap and not get any answers from the people responsible. Either they owe me $19 or a new protank. I know that's wishful thinking. I am also starting to think that some of these "reviewers" are being paid off by these Chinese companies to give products hype. There is just no way any reviewer who received the kit I received can recommend it to anyone.

I've had a coil mess up and the persistent burning taste. A good dry burn and blowing on the coils really solves that issue. Removing the silicone seal actually brought flavors out for me but I did run into leaking after the third or fourth refill. I like several others thought I wasted money ok it at first. But popped in a new head and it I by far my favorite compared to my evod or cartotanks. I should note the leaking happened after removing a flavor wick.

hey..i was trying to reply to another thread on the protank and for some reason it wont let me....actually it wont let me post anywere but here

for those of you who have tried the protank and complain about how "airy" the hit is on it. remeber, the metal thread protector (beauty ring) thats included with your protank acts like an air regulator on the eGo battery. with the protank installed and tightened up, screw the collar down for a more airy draw, screw the collar up for a tighter harder draw. with the collar screwed up, i found that the vapor production is outstanding with huge clouds of vapor. also remember your not hitting an analog. i own several Kangertech Protanks and use them almost exclusively. found that trick out early on.... if adjusted properly and one of the wicks removed in the protank, it pretty much outperforms just about anything ive used to date.i use my protanks on an eVic which doesnt allow for the collar to be used, but the tank screws down far enough on the top that its not needed. i do however keep them handy fr my eGo twist batteries and any other eGo style batteries i have as back ups.

ive seen lots of people complaining about the airy draw of the protank, but not one time someone mention that the included collar acts as an air intake regulator...

Protank leaking problems?

the protank inner seal mating surface is prone to burrs and sharp edges from the factory. ive seen a couple that had edges so sharp if you removed the base and screwed it back on, the sharp edges would cut the innder seal and it would leak right into the mouthpiece/tube.

two things to remember. NEVER overtighten the base. sqishing the seal down, sharp edges or not is a disaster waiting to happen. IT WILL LEAK. i tighten it down just barely snug and then install on my battery. it always gets another little twist going on, and seals just right

if your protank has sharp edges inside where the seal mating surface is (look with a magnifying glass or jewelers loope) get yourself a piece of fine emery cloth and glue it to a pencil eraser and spin it around in the mating surface of the seal.

OR

if you have a dremel tool ( this is what i use) get yourself one of the small flat tipped rubber polishing wheels for it and polish the burrs off.

with no burrs and base installed properly you can not beat the protank.

Welcome to ECF. Outstanding advice on the Pro tank. I've got 3 of them and I like the airy draw personally. I've never had a leaking problem with any of the Kanger bottom coil units. Lots do but without having the experience myself I can't give advice.
You did your self proud with that post my friend. I'll be sure and pass that information on to others that may be having problems.

Ok, so now after reading your posts, my blood is starting to boil over my frustrations with the protank. I figured I'd just put them aside (yes, I bought 2 ) & fiddle with them another time. But ya know, we paid $19 or so a piece for these poor quality tanks and if nothing else, our experiences are important to announce, so here goes....
One of the two that I purchased arrived all plastic sealed up around a leather-like case, nothing tampered with or mishandled, & yet upon opening, I wonder how the *** this passed inspection, assuming they even glance at these as their boxed. I guess I must be the one & only one who gets one with the chrome like finish chipped off at the mouthpiece and copper tone color showing. Some black sticky crap on the tank (not a big deal-just added to my "..." opening the box moment). Called the vendor I purchased them from, sent pictures, long story short, no problem, they send me a replacement for the glass tank part right away. So, I screw the new tank onto the base from the original boxed set and it's not screwing on right, seems like it hits a bump of some kind at every half turn or so, all way till it's snug. Here comes another "... moment" but I figure whatever just deal with it. Well that's the least of my concerns as #1. IT LEAKS-Here I am vaping along paying careful attention not to crack a tooth out (I hate metal tips-what I was I even thinking when I ordered these?) and vapor diminishes, starting to hear some gurgling and yup, right into the mouth, FANTASTIC. Yeah I wasted a few ml's on several attempts on both tanks. I have also had an ever so subtle amt of juice on the outside of the glass, no visable cracks and yet something is not quite up to par with the seal. And no, I don't lay the tank on it's side, not ever. Airy draw is not a problem for me, it doesn't bother me. Poor, very poor quality and major leaking is a problem. This is my 1st run with Kanger tanks so I don't have other parts to exchange with, NOR SHOULD I HAVE TO. The tank should work properly with what it has.

It amazes me how something works so good for one person and the next one doesn't like it at all. It is that way with every device out there. I've been vaping 3 1/2 years and have seen it time after time. I personally like the Protank right out of the box better than anything else I've tried. I like the easy draw and I've never had any leaking issues or dry vapes. The only way you can find out if it will work for you is to try it yourself.:)
