Awhile back, I saw on Vapor Joe's just a wick and coil not the whole replacement head. The wick and coil is already made up to put in the protank head. In the near future, I will try to build a wick and coil myself but right now I'd rather just buy them to save a bit more money than buying the whole replacement heads. I can't remember who sells them. I'm hoping the good people here in the forums can direct me to the vendors who does. Thanks!

I have ordered these premade coil/wick combinations from fasttech, and use them in my Protank 2 and mt3s tanks.

($2.26 / 50) 1.8Ω product number is: 1591806

($3.30 / 50) 1.8Ω with NR-R-NR wire is: 1593911
(These are non-resistant legs attached to the regular type wire for the coil itself - keeps from burning the insulator when dry-burning)

So far, of the dozen or so I've used, it's working out great!

I even had one of the silica wick pull out of the coil when taking from the package, so I replaced it with cotton just for the fun of it. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to do this, but I'd say it was better than the silica.

For 5 - 7 cents a piece, these are a great option! :thumb:

Thanks for the infor.
Could you please direct me to a higher resistance Ω such as 2.5 or 2.8? I have a provari and it is recommended for higher resistance. Also will I have to do more to make sure these fit?

Should I get these if I plan on cleaning the wicks and then dry burn on the provari?
