New Protank 2 owner here :) and so far im almost extremely happy. My only thing is if there is a diy way or a replacement bottom to tighten up the draw on it then Id be a Pro tank user for life. So any suggestions would be awesome :)

Take a bit of tape cut to a very thin strip and cover one of the air holes at the top of the threads under the base. If you have trouble getting it to stick over just 1 make a full collar and take a pin and punch the hole out for one side.

I've got a couple of PT2s and a couple of miniPT2s, loved them when I got them as a lot better than the blu ecigs I first tried. I still like them, mostly to taste a new juice before loading a tank in my kayfun. Or to bring along a dessert juice when I'm going out. It's also good for potential cig quitters to try. Sure, they're not the warmest densest most satisfying vape, but they're easy to fill, clean, and replace atomizers. Not bad for $20.

I juswt got my SVD today. I put the Davide BCC on it and the atty was like 3 days old. Tasted great at 4.2v/6watts with a 2.5atty in. Well, it was time to change the atty in it, so I put a fresh 2.5atty in, and had my previous settings saved. Hit it and NOTHING but burnt taste I messed with the VV/VW settings, and no matter what, it tastes like straight ...! Did I burn the coil because I didnt let the wicks soak up enough juice before I used it?

Please help me! A 3 day old atty should NOT taste better than a fresh atty What am I doing wrong? Is it just a beat atty from the get go? Or do I have to let the new atty soak up the juices for 10 minutes first? I NEVER had this problem before when I was using a Davide BCC and an Ego battery???

I put that same tank on my Ego battery just now, and its still not tasting great, but it doesnt taste as bad as the SVD???!!! It does taste kinda burnt thru that too now! I have never let the juices soak in before, so I figured just pop the new atty on and start vaping right away?!?!

That taste is either crud from the manufacturing or you toasted it. If you don't want to give a new coil time to soak in the juice then prime it. Put a drop or 2 on each end of the wick sticking out from under the chimney, assemble then 1 or 2 puffs with no power and you are ready to fire.

Get the new version of the pt1 bottom and put it on the pt2.

Dont leave a mini protank 2 submerged in water for a month. It will become ruined! I lost track of one in a cup of water for a month and man.... the base (the part the coil screws into) completely fell apart. The rest was fine though.

Bottom part is metal. So not sure how it fell apart?

Protank 3 heads seem to be more consistent. Always read 2 ohms on my vamo v5 and never leak and usually no dry hits unless using to think of a juice. Live my protank 3 and minis but on my protank 2 or 3 if I use the single coil atomizer it leaks at about 1/3 tank. Have the new aerotank on the way with the new long stem dual coils. Can't wait to try the air flow control. I do want to try the iclear 30b. I tried the 30s and wasn't bad but I hate the long wicks.

Thanks for the info!

There are few options.
Smoktech Tank Airflow controller
Hit or miss on this one.

KangerTech AeroTank Base - Sun-Vapers.com
This is better option. Basically, converts your PT I/II/III into AeroTank. I got mine today and works great!

The aerotank base with the protank 2 coil on a protank 2 is the bomb. As much as I like the aerotank, the dual coils eat juice like nobody's business. Ordered 2 more of the aerotank bases from sun vapors, now all my protanks will have airflow control.

Sent on my awesome Galaxy note 2.
