The aerotank base with the protank 2 coil on a protank 2 is the bomb. As much as I like the aerotank, the dual coils eat juice like nobody's business. Ordered 2 more of the aerotank bases from sun vapors, now all my protanks will have airflow control.

Sent on my awesome Galaxy note 2.

Thats great news. Wonder if theyll work on my Davide tanks? Theyre basically identical arent they?

Which is the better protank 1,2or3?

Natalie ;)

ProTank I is good for those who likes less moving parts.
ProTank II is awesome since you can completely dissemble for easier cleaning.
ProTank III is exactly same as II but support dual coil. Since Kanger's dual coil isn't that good, not much difference from II for me.
AeroTank is the best. Adjustable airflow takes the tank to a new level.

And better yet, you can just get the aero tank base and use it on your PT2 or PT3... adjustable airflow without a whole new tank!

Haha. I have been vaping all day with my PT2 with aero tank base. PT2 has been collecting dust since I started to drip. But with the new base, PT2 has been hitting so nicely, I can't seem to put it down. :D
I initially thought I would just set the draw level once and vape, but I found myself adjusting it throughout the day depending on my needs. And it certainly works!

I don't know how you're managing to vape with a 2.5 coil at 4.8v, 2.0 coil at 4.3v and a 1.8 coil at 4.1v. Are you a magician ?. I use a Protank 1 and a Protank II. My coils read 2.6 and i vape at 4.3v. Always have. If i turned up the volts it would burn the juice, any juice, not just this one or that one, any one, all of them...:vapor:..:2cool:.......

This post is intended to bring on the ire I am tired of hearing!!! I am tired of hearing how people are tired of ProTanks,,, I have become increasingly convinced that the majority of issues people complain about with them is the result of user error- not the tanks themselves...

I have a PT2, a PT3, and 3 mini PT2's... I have not had any real problem with ANY of them. I run the PT2 and PT3 on a Provari, the mini's on eGo twists and I've been running them for a while now. I have NEVER had what I would call a "leak" issue... do I find a dot or 2 of juice on the connection? Sure... is that a major issue? No... Do I occasionally get a burnt taste on a vape? Yes... and when I do I back off vaping for a minute or turn the voltage down 0.1 or so and then- its FINE!!! After a few fills I start to get diminished vapor/flavor- so I swap out the head, soak the used one in some vodka for an hour and repeat... I get a couple weeks out of each head...

Heres what I run:
PT2 with a 2.5 Ohm Atty at 4.8 volts
PT3 with a 2.0 Ohm atty at 4.3 volts
PT2 mini with 1.8 Ohm atty at 4.1 volts

And they vape GREAT!!!! Am I unique in this? I don't think so... I just think that complaints get a lot more play than positive experiences...

Want a great vape that has no glues or plastics that crack, stain, or leach plastic chemicals into your juice? Then get a ProTank!

I must agree with you on about everything you stated. Protanks are by far my preferred method of vaping. They work great and are more convenient for on the go.

I find my ProTanks have a little trouble allowing enough juice to the coil.
I typically remove ONE bit of flavor wick.
I do NOT get flooding, or leaks.

I will say I've been finding carto-tanks working more consistently - like a ProTank on it's very best day - but I still use the ProTanks because they're EASY (and because I have a bunch of them).

I'm sure the ire you expected will follow...
:D

i agree 100% with the carto tank statement.. i use 8 mil J tanks and single coil 2.0 smoktech carto's... good flavor, consistant vape, using multiple devices ( kicked and straight mech mods i get about 3 weeks and 2 full fills ( about 18-20 mils of juice) out of a each carto before it starts to draw a little tight. @1.60 a piece , i just throw in another one and keep going. when i want something more i drip.

Gotta say, when I made this post originally I expected a lot of vitriol against the ProTank as thats all I seemed to be reading... great to see so many positive comments!!!

Plus, I've ended up learning a thing or 2 such as...

Flip that seal above the wicks around, the flavor and vapor get even better!!!

Get an Aero base to increase airflow... this is only an issue for me with a Provari, the eGo doesnt have the airflow problem...

regardless- great feedback!!!

My protanks , evods and aspires are all in my vape museum collecting dust where they belong , to be used only in the unlikely event that I destroy all my Kayfun clones at one time . There is no clearomizer currently on the market that I'd recommend to a newbie due to poor QC on the replacement heads . Any argument that you can make for rebuilding protank heads disappears in a puff of vapor from a Kayfun , protank heads are a PITA to rebuild compared to most RBA's . I feel that my time and recommendations are better spent educating a noob on rebuilding rather than coach them through the frustration that I went through with hit or miss QC from any of the current clearo's . I've seen mention of the aspire nautilus lately but at 4$ a pop for replacement heads who are they kidding . There's a need for a clearomizer with high QC on replacement heads for noob's but nothing on the market right now qualifies IMO .
