So I have 2 of these laying around. All the fiddling isn't working; I'm pretty sure all 3 adapters I have are now shoot due to trying to make these work.

I figure I'd by a new one to test it out, but I can't. PS doesn't sell them anymore. I've read the Icon's will work as long as they aren't screwed down all the way but I'm not to crazy about that idea.

This is sort of upsetting that not even after a year of owning these I can't get replacement parts for them.

Yeah, I discovered this month's ago after wanting to pick up a 510 adapter earlier this summer.
I guess just use until it no longer works and donate/sell parts for someone else that needs them.

It's a shame, I really like the protege and still use it but no parts available = very limited lifespan.
I'm wondering about the lifetime warranty these had-- how can they service them and hold it up if they no longer have the part's?

I'm not really going to fuss about it. I'm traveling at the end of the month and was going to take one of my proteges instead of my V3 (not sure about the TSA and this PV).

But wench does bring up a good question with the warranty. Are adapters now a consumable item?

You shouldn't have any problems traveling with the PV. I recently took a trip to Kansas City, MO and carried my Precise P-18 in my carry-on without any problems. If you are worried about juice, make sure you're within the airlines specifications or just carry cartomizers (easier to travel with anyway!)
