I have a 1.5 ohm 28g kanthal micro coil in my kf3.1 clone. It hits well at 10 watts. The question is what are you using as wick? With cotton sometimes less is more as cotton will soak up loads of juice. With silica it is more about finding the balance of the amount of wick versus the pg/vg ratio. If there isnt enough silica you could flood the chamber when you pull. If you get too much it is dry hit city which is where funky flavor will come in play

I've been brought up on cotton microcoils and used SS mesh in an RSST, but for the kayfun I used Ekowool. Torched it before using to get rid of some of the funky taste. I'll post pictures tomorrow if I remember.
I bet! Nice photoshop of the "glass" too, or did you really color-match some juice?
I wonder what the 3.1 really brings to the table vs. a KFL+. I suppose you don't need to dismount it to fill it or adjust airflow?

The only colour options at protovapor are black and silver. Are the other colors just not in production right now? Or was that a limited run? Were certain colors specific to certain other vendors?
I did do a quick search of the site's blog but didn't see anything about color options (besides the switch) at all.

It's funny, I work 7p-6a EST, which would convert to 2p-1a HST...and they said they tend to work late (i'll guess 7:00 or 8:00p), so maybe I still do have a chance. Would definitely make me happy

Until I get my Kayfun i've just been using a Nautilus, an iclear 30s, and a protank at around 8 or 9 watts and i've got to say at that low of wattage the battery life is amazing. I've been getting two full days between charges. I was nervous when I ordered the protovapor because I heard the battery life was terrible when you vape at high wattage so I assumed it must not be that good at low wattages either but that hasn't been the case. Really loving this thing. My Kayfun shipped from Cali today so hopefully i'll be building my own coils by the weekend.
