I have had or have the ZNA, XPV 20 full size & a Vaporshark dna 30.
The Zen was really cool, very clever design, best ever fire button, fun to use ... but way too heavy, no usb charging, pitiful battery life. Sold it.
Currently using the XPV 20 & Vaproshark 30.
Honestly, I'm liking the VS more & more. So portable & with all the features of the XPV, the battery life is not quite up to the level of the 2900mah but I'm rarely far from the ability to charge it. I like the form factor of the VS better.
Considering the price point & relative availability of both - either of these devices are at the top of the heap of dna gadgets.
I don't understand all the hand wringing / teeth gnashing over the ZNA's & Hana's when there are significantly better devices that are much more easily procured. Kinda weird.

May be rumor, but so far, it's projected that the Sony VTC6 will be 2900mAh with a 40A CD. I can't wait! I am sure that Protovapor will replace the VTC5 as an option, as well as provide it as a choice in their pre-soldered cell selection. Upcoming cell technology advancement will enable better and better performance with the DNA 30D mods.

So you waited about 2 1/2 months to get yours. If every number is indeed an actual order then they are about 100 units behind at this point. I'm order 625 and ordered a couple weeks after you. They must have had a huge surge of orders at the end of April beginning of March time frame. Things are not looking too good for old Protovapor, they better step up production soon or I'm cancelling.

It was actually 43 business days and was supposed to be 40 so not too bad. This is the longest I've waited but a friend has one and it's a great unit. He's sold his Hana and says the vapor shark has crappy battery life if you're vaping at high wattage. He's also the one who recommended the provari and that was a great buy that I still use with my tanks.

For myself I didn't choose the XPV just because of the DNA30. The form factor had a lot to do with it. If I was just wanted the DNA and cheap as I could get it I'd build one. And if I like the DNA I may do it anyway so I can have a for work mod that I won't worry about getting beat up.

I really like the style of his V1 model. That would be a nice mod to put together. It would be especially great if he made a dual cell version with the same design aesthetics as the V1. The dual cell model he shows there is neat too, but I like the looks of V1 the best.

Order #539 ordered on 3/26/14 just got shipping a couple hours ago.Today is 44 business days so far orders appear to be within lead times,some are coming 3-4 days earlier.Can't wait mailbox stalk mode initiated I feel sorry for the postman because I have been anxiously awaiting this MOD.

They probably should have shut down ordering more often, along the way. My lead time was stated as "between 35-40 days" well, today is 35 business days for me. My mod is still quite a long way off. (again, I'm order # 605 and 606) I'm trying not to get annoyed, because I understand supply/demand, being a small manufacturing business owner myself. As a guesstimate based on current production speed, AND if ordering remains closed, my mod will probably fall more in the 50-55 business day time frame... I hope I'm completely wrong. But It's not logical to have really high hopes.

I suppose as well, tension is somewhat higher, because as folks who have ordered a great domestic manufactured DNA mod, we are now seeing these cloned Hana Modz DNA 30 with replaceable 18650 cell, for far less than $100, and readily available. and DNA 20 clones for only just over $50. It's the beginning of a really tough time for DNA devices, right now... Even if people really want a real DNA device, often times they would rather get a great deal on their mod, than pay big bucks for it. It won't be long, and there will be a good track record on Chinese manufactured DNA type 20 and 30 watt regulated devices, having no issues, and working dependably for years. In order to stay at the top of the technology ladder, Evolv, is going to have to work on getting to market the DNA 50, 60, or 120... to reclaim an edge over Chinese manufacturing.....and even that will be short lived. Apple computers realized a long time ago, it would be better to work with china, than to have China steal their business. That plan seems to be working well, for them. Chinese-made. but to high American quality standards, and tightly controlled inspections.

Yep, it's working well for Apple. But I doubt it's working out quite as well for all the Americans who don't have jobs in the factories that aren't building Apple products here.

So in the past 3 business days (accounting for the long weekend), they've shipped 13 orders. If they continue with this pace, it's going to take another 40-41 BUSINESS days to ship my order (#715) and it's already been 18 business days. If I add in the delay for the DNA shipment, my lead time is 45-50 business days. So that leaves them 27-32 business days to ship my order and meet their quoted time. In other words, they're shipping just over 4 orders a day based on the pace of these two orders. To meet lead time, they need to ship closer to 6 a day. I knew they were running a small operation, but less than 5 orders a day seems really low. I would have guessed they could ship at least 10-15 orders a day. I mean if 4 dudes can make just 3 a day that's 12, so is it just 1 or 2 guys doing this?

I guess I'm just feeling antsy about my order. Especially when I could save $120 and get a Hana clone well before I receive my XPV. Talk me out of cancelling cuz I'm on the fence right now.

I will say however, and this is all: The U.S. of today, is NOT the same as the U.S. of 25 years ago. AT ALL. Whether we like it or not, America is a Service-Based Society. A Post-Industrial Society, even though it still retains small pockets of "High End" manufacturing. Whether we like it or not, the U.S. just isn't the same as it was 25 years ago. Trust me, I'm from the Detroit area, and I see what the Oligarchs have done to democracy, first hand.

It's worth the wait guys. Sure you can get a cheap clone but the size and design is like no other I've seen. A zen zna is the only DNA device I would compare it to (good luck getting one of those faster) and I've seen people with both devices that still prefer the xpv.

The reason why the U.S. is not the same U.S. of 25 years ago is,because everyone that wanted to bring "Big Business" in and kicked out just about every type of business that STARTED this country! And I will add that "Big Business" DID NOT,start this country.So say hello to what killed the U.S industry.

Looks like I have quite a wait. I ordered May 8 and my order number is 719. If the xpv is as good as I've heard then it's worth the wait. In the mean time I have my DNA 30 clone and some mech mods to pass the time.
