Nor am I. I might use this opportunity to fabricate something myself to add my own accent piece to the design. maybe a machined aluminum spacer..... (I'll probably be leaving my clip on, even though I originally opted to have the extra spacer so I could use a clip, or go without one. A nice option they could create, would be to make a clip with a thicker mounting ring. Never hurts to make the area where the clip mounts, thicker, and even more durable... even though the clip is probably already made from nylon, and strong.....

I would definitely love to see what you comeup with if you do that. I'm a horrible sucker for modding something to make it more aesthetically pleasing or functionally improved.

I'll def. be posting pics here once I've worked it out... Who knows, I might even make something from a completely different AND MODERN material :)

Also, I think the clip in combination with the extra spacer would look better if the order were different (mod/clip/extra spacer/top plate) It also makes more sense from an engineering standpoint. (more mounting strength, being mounted closest to the body of the mod, instead of further along the length of the mounting screws.)

AWESOME! that means I'm probably coming up in the next few days!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOO!

As soon as I saw that email I felt like a kid on christmas. I feel bad for my mailman sometimes, I stalk him like no tomorrow when I have vapemail coming and this one is going to be even sweeter.

I wish that I could find a company that makes a 24 x 24mm ABS case fan. (smallest I've seen is this fan, which is 30 x 30mm sq) if the 4 screw holes were a match, I would sand it a bit to make it thinner, and cut the motor and fan out of the center, then use it as a spacer... ;) ...But I can think of lots of other ideas....The really cool thing, is that any additions to the ends of the XPV, are reversible. fun to experiment with, but always the option to put back as stock. :)

I've been thinking about the top. I'm interested to see just how flush the KFL is going to sit. Guess when I see it I'll know if I need to do something about the gap. After looking at the pics on the site again I don't think the silver with black trim will look to bad. And I bought the spacer to remove the clip just in case. Heck it was only $2. Maybe we'll be able to buy the new top plate later to install ourselves.

I don't think it'll look bad either, with black on silver. and to me, just having the clip attached closest to the mod body, then the extra spacer, then top plate, will look much better than the way they have it set up in the new pics showing the extra spacer. I really think the new connector is going to look a lot better with 22mm attys. much better than the small connector they were using. with the case screws protruding the way they do, that large connector is 1000% better, and will take up most of the void under an atty. it really makes a lot more sense now, and looks like that's how the design should have been executed from the start.
