Order #203 here.

After having my XPV for almost half a year, I gotta say that I love it.

My only other mod ever was an eVic, and I haven't gotten into mechs yet (because I would jettison my entire savings account), so the XPV has treated me extremely well for the 10+ months I've been vaping.

I recently checked back on the website to see about ordering a new battery since mine was losing its charge pretty quickly. Ordered a new battery, new foot base, new screws, and wrote in the Notes about the old 510 connector and a problem I had with the charging indicator. Did not expect it, but these guys at Proto emailed me back and are taking care of me.

My XPV has been in Honolulu since last Wednesday, and it'll be like a brand new device when I get it back! I'm really hoping they sent it out before yesterday, but I have no way of knowing since the return postage I paid for was in stamps which doesn't have tracking. NBD.

Can't wait to fire up my dripper when it gets back in :)

Got an email this morning saying my replacement Panasonic battery was not supported for the DNA30.
Meh, I've got a 2900 mAh battery in a DNA-30 bottom feeder right now. Running in the mid to upper teens in terms of wattage, it works great and definitely lasts longer than a VTC-5 or LG HE2. You'd have to be above 25W to actually exceed its max continuous spec of 10A. But I can also see where Protovapor doesn't want the potential liability of selling you a battery knowing you're putting it in a device in which you COULD exceed that spec. It's kinda like the Audi dealer refusing to put H-rated tires on your car. You probably won't drive over 130, but you COULD. ;)

Precisely.

Ironically there is an H rated OEM.
In this application I prefer 104Y/XL since I'm far more likely to floor the car than a mod

Order # 1022 will be shipped in 40 days?

Site claimed 18 days at the time I pushed the button.

They've been running darn close to what they list as lead time in business days.

I think they are over the hump with the screw/case/connector issue and things should loosen up fast now once the backlog is complete.

Sounds like they're finishing 3-4 of them per day. Order # 1022 will be shipped in 40 days?

Don't forget it's working days. Monday through Friday. Right now they have been working right on schedule so I wouldn't worry. When I ordered mine it was 25 to 30 working days. I got my shipping notice on the 30th working day after I ordered.

Fair enough. Still, 18 working days averages out to 25.6 total days. On the other hand, it did include two (or one? 877 was shipped at 8:30AM local time on a Saturday, judging from the timestamp on the post) out of a 5 day snapshot, so...

Still, I'm excited for the new device coming. My main concern will be battery life since I currently carry around my 18650 mode provari with two spare batteries in an efest box. It might take a while for me to be fully comfortable carrying a single battery device around with me 24/7.

I have a KFL on the XPV with a 1.4 ohm ribbon coil running 20.7 watts 5.4 volts. Started using it at 7 am this morning and it's now 11 pm. That's 16 hours and just over a tank and a haft in the KFL. It's still showing about a quarter charge on the battery. If I wasn't coming right home after work I'd just plug in the charger for a time before I got off. I've been using it like this since I got it with no trouble.

The Panny ? Ughhh.... I'm a heavy chain vaper and have the VTC5 coming

Yes, the panny is what is in my 20's and compared to the 2600 in the 30.....well, IMO there is no comparison. The panny is a locomotive. I don't need the 30w so it is a no brainer for me to have just a 20 with a panny pushing it.

Leadtime down to 10-15 days now, apparently.

I hope that's because of an increase in manufacturing capacity and not a decrease in order quantity, although the latter would be somewhat understandable with the provari 3 and new evolv chip (apparently) on the horizon.

Arg. Wish I'd ordered the DNA20 version now...
Yeah I could put a Panny in myself, but I also don't store lamp oil in my oven with the idea I'll take it out if I use the oven...

On the upside, mnealtx and my XPVs are in CONUS now...

I think they are just catching up on a huge surge in orders after some component issues.
Would not surprise me that some people are holding back ordering DNAs, but I can't see a good reason to personally.
