The battery life is fine. I'm at 20.7 all day.

The problem is none of us vape the same way, with the same resistance, or atty.

I can almost guarantee I can suck down a battery quicker than most as a once VERY heavy smoker with lots of daily stressed out chain vaping....

Forgive me if you've already said, but which battery are you using? VTC5 or HE2? I'm having trouble deciding (assuming I get the option to change my mind when they ask to confirm the order).

He was responding to my concern about a VTC5. I use 3mg only on either a Kayfun/R91 at 15w or a Tobh dripper around 20w, and chain vape pretty much the whole day.

Let's hope that my old battery of 5 months was just getting worn down.

Chain vaping may be another matter. I wasn't coming strait home after work so I plugged in the charger for a couple hours before I left just to be sure. I've gone 16+ hours with it using a 1.4 ohm coil in the KFL. I could lower the ohms so I could lower the watts. And I may try that at some point. But the current setup is working well so I hate to change it.

Mine is out for delivery, as well..and I'm feeling your pain on recharging - I'm still using the original batteries from when I ordered my Provari and they're to the point that they go from 4.1 off the charger to 3.5/3.6 under load on the first vape... can't remember how old they are, though, but at least 2-3 years.

Sounds like it might be time for some new ones...

In other news...

Very solid feel high quality feel to it.
So far no issue sitting perfectly flat, but will decide on adding the feet later.

The bezel around the screen feels like very fine Velcro to my thumb, and provides a good grip while firing with my index finger.

Initial impressions

  • neat custom wakeup screen says "Protovapor DNA 30D"
  • this thing rocks, love it
  • balance and feel in the hand is perfect
  • feels far superior to tube style mods - stable and no hunting for the button
  • oddly enough it seems to be a smoother vape than the VaporShark DNA
  • the small foot will probably go on - I'm mostly a desk/easy chair vaper

Edit
Foot was super easy to add.
The foot kit I bought came with silver screws, but the black ones were the same length so I re-used them.

Don't hesitate to add a foot - smallest one adds about 2mm to the width of the base.
Also makes for easier indexing of the fire button since my pinky wraps perfectly around the area where the foot and box meet.

15W on a 0.9 Ohm build.... heavenly...

Only thing I may do is use model paint or a Sharpie to black out the side of the 510 connector.
You can barely see it, but I know it's there and silver - I'm funny that way :p

Foot (ignore the fuzz from my t-shirt that stuck to it):

Sweet! The wakeup screen must be new because mine says EVOLV DNA. As for the edge of the connector forget the black out. Use a thin facet washer like I put on mine and you'll never see it. I've found it also keeps your topper snug without having to tighten it overly. I think you'll like the results. It'll look better than the sharpie.

Excellent, thank you.
Like the idea that it will snug the topper better too - feel like I'm over-tightening after using other mods.
Need to make a run to Lowes today so I'll look for one.

back in action.

Looks good.
Been debating getting that clear section for awhile now...

Makes me wish I'd added the foot... oh well

I'll drop the other 2 feet from the kit in the mail for you if you'd like.

As of Sunday evening, my XPV was down to 2 bars on the battery after 16 hours of solid vaping from a full charge !!!

Normally I'd use it longer but we had an 'exciting' weekend with power outages and medical emergencies [think loud sirens in the neighborhood] causing little sleep.
Today being a workday will be the real test... but so far the mod is outstanding.

Stopped by MadVapes this weekend to pickup some odds/ends for a new vaper I'm helping stop smoking, and everyone in the store wanted to see it.
We owners are part of a small and unique club :)
