I was considering a Provape-1 and then the Zombie Provari was announced. I read that the PV-1 is not regulated. There are very few mods that offer Provape reliability, quality, and service. I would have a Provape-1 if the Provari were not around. I'm still trying to decide if a Provape-1 would be redundant with my stable of 2 Provari. I'm already used to the Regulation and Variable Voltage.

I'm thinking of dabbling with the Reo Grand because I'd like to try bottom-feeding and Mech Mods. I'll look more into getting verified so I can go to the classifieds. If there's a Provape-1 there, I'll probably buy it to check it out. I like having one battery (18650) for all my devices, it keeps things simple.

I've got one in a box around here somewhere, I got it during my 14500 batt phase, I really liked it but finally surrendered to the allure of a Silver Bullet and an 18650 batt. The three most solid mods I've ever had before I started with mechs were the Provape, BB (Black Beauty) and the Silver Bullet.

In my vaping career, which ended Feb 6th, I purchased two Provape 1's. About a week after I purchased the first. . .they announced the ProVari. In that same career I ordered 3 of those. Can you say compulsive addictive?

Cheers,
otrpu

Out of curiosity, why did you stop vaping?
What did you do with all your gear?

It was one of the first to hit with high end features and warranty but the the reason is since it's release there is an overabundance of mechs that do the same thing, especially with the latest wave of clones it fell out of fashion so to speak.

I agree, and with the limitations in capacity of a 14500 battery the market for this size of mechanical is not very large.

I own an AltSmoke BB mechanical which also uses a 14500 size battery (my first mod actually), a direct competitor to the Provape-1, which I rarely use because of its lack of adjustable voltage. However, the BB was the mod my daughter chose this past summer as her first mod setup, so there still is a market for this size of mod.

I really like it because it is balanced- not bottom heavy with the right tank set up on it and they are inexpensive. Also seem to be as well made as a ProVari. I like a lot of flavors and hate switching tanks, so can see myself buying several more, which negates the issue of the smaller battery size. I used my PV-1 all day yesterday in the car and didn't run out of battery.

I also like how the ProTank 2 is the same diameter as the PV-1, so it doesn't look like a tiny tank sitting on a big PV. 2.2 ohm heads in a PT2 seem to work well on it.

I really got to hating the airiness of Protank 2s. I might keep mine if I could work out a way to plug most of the holes. I haven't actually studied it, though.

I fixed that issue by replacing the bottom caps with Tatroe caps. Tightens up the draw, pretty much no chance the 510 connection will break, sits flush on a ProVari and PV-1 and looks better, in my opinion-

Tatroe tank bottom cap

Out of stock at the moment, but they usually get more made in a couple of days. I get on the notification list and buy when they are available.

If you look closely at the pictures I posted, you will see mine don't have the knurled finish the stock ones have.

Oh, thank you! I got on the waiting list.

This way I won't have to get rid of all my Protanks!
