ProVape/Provarinati collaboration - Help pick a new design!

Wrong. Just so there is no ambiguity about this, here is the full text of the email. (edit: I was asked by MonsterKenny to contact David, as he wanted to discuss the Provarinati logo)



As for "higher-ups," I'm pretty sure that David isn't in the habit of talking to himself. As for the part of the email talking about getting the "design onto the tube," that was a separate project, though I'm open to having it put on the end caps, if that is the route you ladies and gentlemen would prefer.

I like the design, except for the the little knobs that go through the middle, they mess up my eyes. Here is a sharp version of the one I have been using:

This is the one I use. it's slightly rougher around the edges, but I think it keeps more of the detail of the original image.

ETA: For anyone wondering, I will be paying for the high res Provarinati ambigram to modify and to meet with the Provarinati approval before shipping everything off to ProVape. Since the "knobs" (that mess with Ocey's eyes) are on the original high res, those will be coming off, since we don't use them.

This is a very rough sketch/mockup (ignore the lopsided "u"). I've already noticed some issues. The "Provarinati" and "lumen sees totus" need to switch places to maximize the space available. Otherwise, the eye will have to be smaller than it needs to be.

I'm not a graphic artist but think about proportions. As much as I would LOVE to see all fo the above on the end cap, (this whole concept is just too AWESOME!!!) Consider font size and logo size and how small they would be. When I got my precious, my client had the end caps laser engraved. Here they are close up:

Last contribution for the night. This is the revised logo with the lumen sees totus and Provarinati swapped. I also placed it on an actual endcap. The problem is the vent hole will be smaller than the standard vent hole, and I don't see ProVape as willing to budge on vent hole size, as that would be a safety concern. What about placing the vent holes (like the pirate/skull end cap with two smaller holes) on each side of the pyramid, where there is no writing?

Edit: again, this is very rough, and not sized or placed properly.

Edit: Thank you, Red, for posting that comparison shot. I told you guys it was a rough draft. Looking at the laser etching on my Nemesis, I'd say they can get very fine lines...if they so choose.

Train2's idea (above) looks good to me. Both WWP and CASAA as beneficiaries would be great.

If PoM could throw out some other variations for us to look at, that would also be wonderful!

What a great idea in general - how cool that ProVape would like to do this!! I hope sleeping on the idea stimulates some creativity - maybe we should have a few days to think on this whole thing before voting....not to take anything away from what's already been proposed.

I'm going to let this run for at least two weeks, to allow enough time for those Provarinati who are not frequent visitors the opportunity to chime in. This is a decision to be made by all, not just the 40 or so who practically live in this forum.

For those who have been championing the Tatroe wide base as the ideal engraving surface--The wide base idea should be nixed. This is a ProVape thing, not a Tatroe thing. With that being said, I hope the final design is popular enough that ProVape (and other vendors) decide to continue catering to our little fan club's whims. You can only sell an APV once, but accessories for that APV...

ProVape has decided to make a new endcap design or custom Provarinati wrap for the Provarinati to use and display. Some of the proceeds will go to a charity or cause that the Provarinati collectively pick.

Here's the thing, they want us collectively choose the design. Most of you know that the Provarinati as a group use several logos, catch phrases and symbols. They asked me to spearhead this effort, which will consist of me counting votes and listening to suggestions and providing the final approved artwork. Since this forum doesn't seem to have poll options for the thread, it's going to done in a little more informal manner, and I'll let the thread run until most of us (or even all of us) have posted in it.

My thoughts on this are as follows:
We, the Provarinati, have several designs that we use, and we can use as many or few as we want on the endcap. (With EddardinWinter's permission to use the Eye of Providence logo), I would like to see an endcap with the "Provarinati" logo wrapped around the bottom of the circle, with "Lumen Sees Totus" at the top, and the "Eye of Providence" logo in the center, with the vent hole coming through the pupil of the eye.

Other options include just having the word "Provarinati," or just having the Eye of Providence logo, or even a reference to the charity...
It's all up to you. I'm not a fan of wraps, as they are a bit less permanent (if far more colorful) than an end cap, but if you would rather have that instead, post your thoughts in this thread.

My role at the end of all this is to provide ProVape with high quality artwork that they can use for the design. I'm not getting anything out of this other than an opportunity to buy one of these end caps or wraps as well. This is a project for the Provarinati, by the Provarinati.

Please share your thoughts on the design and what charity/cause you think should be the recipient of the donation made on behalf of the Provarinati.

I'm pretty easy regarding the design. As long as we have the ambigram, I'll be happy. If we add the "Lumen Sees Totus", I would like a font that comes close to the ambigram, I like matchy-matchy

I'll also vote for the end-cap, from a practical point of view it is much more durable.
I have a question, suggestion if you like.Couldn't we do something with the Lumen sees Totus?Fancy it up a little.I allready tried the Ambigram generator and it looks horrible, I'm just going to put an for instance in if the general idea has merit.




Maybe we can find a font that compliments the ProVarinati and blends the Lumen sees Totus better with that.Right now I feel it looks like the fist on the eye.

I agree here. The wide base condemns the ProVari to house arrest

I use my wide base on the Mini Provari even when out of the house. I just put the Provari in my pocket top first (tank first).

So the wide base sticks out of the pocket a little, so what? It isn't uncomfortable at all.

I would buy either one, but a wrap would not actually get used. So, endcap gets my vote.

You would have to have ProVarinati on it. I used the Eye of Horus on my sig because it is simpler than the original one we had. I think that is all that is needed.

CASAA or Vaping Malitia for the charity, as they are helping our cause.

I also think maybe a separate Wounded Warriors Project endcap, much like Cherry Vapes did the camo drip trips, with a military theme.

ETA: Regular endcap. I don't use my Tatroe Base when I'm out. I do however leave my rings on it and use the regular endcap regardless of what size I'm using. Besides, you would then have to involve Tatroe to get those made.

On the Latin phrase......you ever see those tattoos that are Chinese symbols and the owner of that tattoo "says" that it says Peace but is really translates to dumpster. Call it my OCD but I'd like to know for sure what it means before putting it there.

A matching pro ring would be nice if the won't do the extension cap

This is very cool, I am not to picky, I did like the configuration that Train2 posted. I am not into the wraps though, but if they did these on both caps the standard, and extension, would be great. For me my Tatroe base and extension are for home, and I would be interested in those as well, they would not get used as much.
