HI Folks
Here's a weird thing:
Sometimes my Provari 2.5 starts to flash, indicating the battery is low- I'm not sure why but I unscrewed the battery cap and then tightened it again and the flashing stopped. When I checked the battery power, it showed 3.6 volts and carried on working for an hour or so before the battery finally ran out.
Could anyone explain why this happens? The batteries are 2 months old and get charged in an nitecore i4 charger.
Thanks.

Iv heard the nitecore i4 is not the best charger for our batteries.

Our batteries are not designed to be quick charged, this can degrade the chemistry in the battery, and might be a cause of this behavior. (Or it might have nothing to do with it).

It appears that this behaviour is by design. Let’s say that the low battery indicator is triggered below 3.3V; I’m not sure exactly what the low voltage limit is, but it’s easier to explain with a number figure.

Now, it appears that the low battery flashing light is latched. That is, if you’re holding down the button and the voltage momentarily drops below 3.3V, it will start flashing. But, if you release the button and the voltage goes above 3.3V (3.6V in your case), the flashing will not stop.

With the light flashing, if the battery is above 3.3V and I cycle power, the flashing stops on my ProVaris, until it goes below 3.3V again. I also noticed that turning the LED off and then on again (last menu item, “Lo”), will stop the flashing as well, if your voltage is above 3.3V.

I hope this helps.
