Hi all,

I've been doing a lot of searching here and elsewhere on what battery life should be expected from the 18350\490\650 on the provari and mini. I'm not sure which to get... The full or mini?

I have data from other mods but the provari is more efficient so I'm curious to get your input.

Can you share your experiences on how much time you get from each? please include what voltage and resistance you use. I use 2.1-2.2ohm loads and vape between 3.9 - 4.2V.

I vape rather heavily at roughly the same resistance/voltage you're at. I have 3 490's & could get by easily with just 2. I don't drain the batteries all the way; I switch them out once in the morning & once in the evening. I could go longer, but it's easier for me to stay on that schedule so I never forget, never have a battery die at a bad time (away from home) & never have to carry a spare.

Get whichever you find the most attractive, there's always ways to add more length for a larger battery. You can add the twins; Twins (telescope extension for Provari) or two tatroe rings; Tatroe Ring Provari Steel or a single tatroe and the extension cap Provape offers to get the the Mini to 18650, and yet still have the ability to go back to the smaller size if needed. As has been passed on to me, you can make the Mini bigger, but you can't make the standard smaller. :)

I vape about 3 ml a day, my adv is set on 4.3 and a 18650 lasts me usually 2+ days.
I really liked my zmax mini in 18490 mode but provari is a tiny bit shorter so I like the 650 length a little better. The 490s usually gave me 2 days at 7W.....in the zmax.
I didn't like 350 time, I'd need at least 2 per day. Plus I know I'm weird but I like all my fingers to rest on device with my thumb on button which was 490 on zmax but with provari a smidge shorter so my pinky wanted to slip off. The 650 fits better and I like a bigger device.
So I went with standard and I have 2 650s and 4 490s and it's perfect.
If I catch a good coop after Xmas I will probably buy a few more 650s....but without charging I have easily over a week of battery for my provari.

yes, good point. I vape about 5ml per day.

I vape a similar amount and resistance of my coils are generally in the 1.8 - 2.2 range.

I only use AW or Efest IMR batteries. A 350 will last me approx half a day, a 490 just under a day and a 650 will be almost 2 days.

What I think is important here is the fact that the ProVari let's you know when the battery is low at least an hour before it gives up it's last vape (or a half hour for heavy vapers). Whereas twists and spinners only give you about a 10 minute warning (depending on how old the battery is) or less.

I can't answer on the battery life question (still waiting for my Provari in the mail), but I went with a mini because in my eyes it's more flexible. (Though the flexibility does cost a little more because I'll have to buy an extension cap or ring)

I'll be able to run it in 18350 mode, 18490 mode(with extension cap or ring), or 18650 mode (with extension cap and ring, or two rings). even in 18650 mode the provari mini will still be slightly smaller than the regular provari in 18650 mode. Keeping my mod small is important to me because it's going to spend a lot of time in my pocket.

In 18350 mode I can have the smallest provari possible. When I do this I'll keep some spare batteries with me in my car, bag, or pocket. If needed I plan to use a small tank as well to make my mini more "pocket-able". 18350 mode with a halfling tank should drop into a shirt or jacket pocket nicely.

For weekends at home or maybe road trips I like that I'll have the option to pop in a big battery and pull out a large tank for all day chain vapeing.:vapor:

I own both the standard and the mini Provari's. I pretty much use the standard at home, both in 18490 & 18650 mode. I use the Mini both at home and out of the house, in all three modes: 18350/18490 (out) and 18650 (home).

I primarily use 2.5 ohm or 3.0 ohm single coil Ikenvape cartomizers in IBTanked cartotanks. I vape 3 - 5 ml of juice a day. I use voltages between 3.6v - 4.4v, depending upon the flavor.

18350 - can last up to 6 hours per battery; I carry a couple spares with me in plastic battery cases for my pocket.

18490 - can last up to 10 hours per battery.

18650 - will last all day (approximately 18 - 20 hours).
