Alright, I'm not a straight up cigarette smoker, but I did used to smoke alot of cigars...and even inhaled them...half the time. I have smoked but only when I was drinking and usually just with friends who smoke who handed me a cigarette.

I started with Ego regular...quickly switched to EGO-C with a twist...then LR attys...then...

I got the Provari...and with a 2.8 ohm atty from provapes...at 6V..

alien Visions 555 never tasted so good...

Have not tried a debridged attomizer...or a hh.357...but started dripping and after severe trial and error...i now understand what all the fuss is about...There is basically no comparison of dripping a SR or HR atty on a Provari...vs. my EGO-C on a twist...

Dripping tasted terrible at first because I did not know that it's an ART and it takes several days to really find the "sweet spot", I am vaping about 2-3ml per day every day...and I love it.

2.8 ohms at 6 volts? Man! That's hot! That's like over 12 watts isn't it?

Welcome to ECF!

Some more detail about the voltages and ohms..

I have to use no more than about 4.1-4.4 max if I use an LR Joye 510, but with the atomizer from provape...at 2.7-2.8...you can run it all the way up to 6V...and it just gets about 200% more flavor and its kind of "wet" and warm, but not in a bad way like when I was doing it (dripping) on a EGO twist at about 4.2 volts(with the LR)..totally a different deal...on the provari...and then with the 2.8 higher it was even better from there.

The way to describe would be to say that your best couple of hits of the LR twist at 4.2 that you can remember (about 50% of the time)...are basically there all the time with the Provari...and with the 6V 2.8 about double that...

I dont really know if that is because the Provari just gives more steady voltage during your draw, but since it arrived yesterday...I have not even wanted to use the twist at all...

So rating scale..

Ego-C LR ego c atty on a twist 4.4ish- cool temp - about a 4
Dripping LR 510 with twist at 4.4, about a 6
Same LR 510 on a prover at 4.1-4.4 about an 8
HR atty dripping on provari 12

dripping sux at first...but if you get lucky and have a good atty when you are doing it...i have tried and tried and eventually just tossed many in the trash and then tried a new one...

And then I was working for a few hours...and figured out the exact amount of juice to have in the atty to have it taste good...and I have to blow it out about once a day...to get the thick AVE 555 residue out of it...(after it cools and I set it down for a few hours it will taste terrible...) blow it out..and good to go...

So there is this sweet spot when the excess juice is not in the atty...and the coil is creating vaper...flavor really punches and then stays for about 4-8 hits...then the taste just starts to get slightly flat, and about 1 more hit and after that you get the worst tasting hit you have ever had...burns your tongue and tastes like you just inhaled burning glass...it's right 1-2 hits before that that you have to drip another 2 drops...

Then its basically perfect and you become totally spoiled...and you want to only drip...but it is not convenient when you are driving..

Definately a spoiled one here, once I started direct dripping and got it right I never looked back. Now I use the reogrand bottom feeder. For your provari if you want to turn it into a bottom feeder, check out the surge tank. It holds a bottle of juice and feeds your atty just like you would with a bottom feeder. The thing is about 100 bucks, but it does look pretty cool on a provari. Saves having to drip and drive LOL

12 watts to me IS Smoking. But as mentioned earlier by another member, to Each their Own.

BTW – I heard that FlavorArt has come out with a New Flavor for people who can’t get 12 or more watts out of their PV. It’s called “Flaming Marshmallow”.

LOL

I find the 6ml surge tank to be just plain big and dumb looking on a provari. Frickin thing is huge! They're making a 3ml version though so I plan on trying that one.

I love dripping Cisco 306 on my Provari, but (and there's always a but...) Genesis style RBAs (rebuildable attys) are awesome. Once you get the hang of SS mesh wicking and coiling, the flavor is great, the vapor is huge and the continued cost starts going down (only need to buy consumables like juice) because they can run for up to 6 months on a build. I only use DIDs now, although I will look into the "Squeeze Tank" (the 3ml version of the Surge Tank) when they're available.

I wondered how long a rebuild lasted. I'm on the waiting list for a GG Penelope to try. Who knows how long that'll be. There any genesis style ones out there that suppliers have in stock?
