Competiton is good!!
If the Lavatube is strong competion to the Probari, it can only be good to us, the consumer.
Hopefully it will lower the cost of the Provari, or kick them to invent an even better vape machine.

The vape device is not that difficult, a voltage regulator packed inside a tube, and based on what i'm reading it depends on how cheap you can sell it......

I doubt the Provari would compete at price because the Lavatube is probably being manufactured at the same rate and style as the eGo. Provape would probably have to send production to China and cut corners with cheaper components to even come close. The Lavatube definitely belongs in this world like the eGo does and will be just as popular.

I own 2 provari's I like them a lot I don't feel they are over priced I feel they are well built, I don't find the menu system complicated or annoying. I like the fact that i can check the ohms of my attys and cartos. I can run 1.5ohm dcc @ 4.1v on both but it drains the battery really fast and I'm better off running 2.5ohm dcc if I feel the need to run dual coil cartos. that all being said I just ordered the lavatube 62 dollars and some change with coupon code and free shipping can't beat the price. woohoo!

Based on the review in this video
The Haze Hour
Starts at about the 40min 30 sec mark

If money weren't an option I would go with the Provari out of the 2 because it doesn't look like it will hit the kind of wattage I like. However if the Lavatube was out when I bought my first mod it probably would have been it based on cost and flexability.

Whats the coupon code?

EDIT: Found it, nevermind. $89 for the whole kit is not a bad deal at all

I recommend the ProVari. (I use that too)
With the LavaTube you cannot go above (about) 5.1V with a 3ohm carto for example.
You can set it to 6V but the device will still give you around 5.1V loaded voltage.
I vape on 5.5V all the time (with my ProVari) and I use BOGE 3ohm cartos and reg resistance 510 atties.
I couldn't do all these with a LavaTube.

thats a horrible drop under load where did you see that info at?

I found this review from the vapingreek and he tests it underload metered it seems to be accurate he uses a 3ohm atty @ 6v at the end and it meters at 5.8v not to much of a drop underload

I just hope the newer vapers who are jumping on the VV tube mods don't end up realizing that 3.7 or 5v turn out to be their sweet spot, y'know? With the Lavatube, it realization wouldn't be too costly but with ProVari, that's quite an investment for the major benefit being the ability to say "Yeah, I have a ProVari!". Kinda' like buying a limo when then only place you ever need to go is the grocery store.

Of course, that's not saying that I wouldn't have bought a Provari myself had I had the money at the time... *blush*

I did end up buying a cheap VV box mod just to be able to see if VV is really for me...turns out I still just keep reaching for my 3.7v with LR carto. That's MY comfort zone.

Also, the Lavatube is very new...relatively untested on a wide scale. The Provari has been around for a while, it's road tested, it's reputable, and more than likely the best VALUE for the money.

Again, only MY opinions.
