I completely second this.
Hell I don't even have a V2.5 hell not even a V2 provari. I have the V1 that I got used this past Tuesday, and I love this thing. I still love my mech's and Sub Ohming but I think it will be really hard to beat a Provari. I really wanted a ZNA but I can't justify the price now after owning this. Don't get me wrong I love the ZNA and I still want one. But I will buy another Provari first.

I saw something about a new v3 coming out and it got my hopes up, but I didn't actually get around to finding out the details.

if you are going to narrow your choices down to just a provari or a vamo.... dont get the vamo, if you drop it it will die.... I have purchased 2 vamos and both died from falls of less than 3 feet

oh yea almost forgot... the vamo has brass 510 threads, they wear out in 3 months and your tank wont fit any more....

I think there are a ton of great mods out there. My brother still has his Vamo that is working just fine after about 4 months of pretty heavy use. He might be lucky that it is still working just fine. I let him use my provari for a few hours today while I was using my hybrid, now he wants to go buy a provari. lol
I think it will be my go to mod for now on. I cant wait to get my glass for my ZAP that will be here friday. After that I am going to get a diver & a scuba tank as well. I am also going to sell my VTR soon and buy another provari. Probably a Zombie unless I can get a good deal on used 2.5 or something.

Provari if you use 510 threads and don't care about VW.

I sold my Provari. I loved it but I use ego threaded toppers almost always.

I'm using an MVP2 and a Vamo5 with my Evods and Protanks.

The Provari is your best choice for VV if you're using 510 threaded toppers :thumb:

I have 3 Vamos and 3 MVPs for less than the price of a Provari. Backups for my backups' backups.

I certainly recommend the Provari based on what you've said you're looking for in an APV. It took me weeks of reading & comparisons & going back & forth about dropping the coin for my first one but once it arrived & I had the chance to vape on it any worries I had disappeared. It was totally worth it! It was & still is my best purchase so far in this vaping journey. Good luck making your decision.

What he said.
Provari>any vamo,zmax or cheap vv.
And better battery life than any of them.

this actually isn't nearly true. This was one of the reasons I ditched my provari. The 33.3 chip gets as much run time to 3.6v where it starts dropping off as the provari gets to 3.2v where it cuts off. The 33.3 chip provides nearly twice the life on the same battery and same power level from fully charged to cutoff.
That being said, the provari is still a good device, and I got 3 days out of 2 18650s. But don't make it out to be the end-all-be-all greatest thing since sliced bread. It has its flaws. Just less than most devices

Provari's don't drop off even at 3.2v unlike any 33.3chip.I won't argue that the provari don't have minute flaws, but the biggest draw is constant power, from the first puff to the last.
I have used many VV and VW PV's,a few 33.3 chips and dna or some other regulation, none can better the provari's performance.
Why else after 3+ years are all devices compared to the provari?Because its still the best readily available device anyone can buy without knowing someone that knows a guy that knows another guy that can get the latest and greatest for a huge price or a favor that you can't refuse.

First off, go with the Provari. I've had mine a few days now, and it puts my vamo to shame. Its durable, consistent, and solid. Nothing wrong with a vamo, they just seem hit and miss. I had my vamo for over a year with no issue despite countless drops, but have had friends break one in 1 drop, or have the electronics die in 2-3 months. But, my new provari seems to be much better. No thread problems like I had on my vamo. Haven't dropped the provari yet, but I doubt I can hurt this think.

What's a good tank to go with the Provari?

I use one of the new Nautilus tanks on mine, and it rocks for me. Running the 1.6 ohm head at 4.1 volts. I also have the Russian 91%, but haven't had time to clean and coil it yet. If it works as well as I have herd, that will probably live on the provari.

I'm finally getting a VV mod... I really like the Vamo cuz I've tried one... I've also heard nothing but good things about provari and I'm considering their mini... The most important thing 2 me is dependability... Has anyone had issues with their vamos or provaris... I have the money but if the vamos just as reliable why spend the extra $$$... Please help and thanks for the advice

I don't like to Compare a Vamo to a Provari. Each is in a Different Class in my mind.

I have Both. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that a Vamo is just as "Good" as a Provari for Me.

But the Vamo doesn't cost what the Provari does. And I have No Fear of taking my Vamo Anywhere. If it is Lost, Stolen or Broken, eah... I would be Thrilled.

But I wouldn't be Bummed Out like I would if it was my Provari.

If Dependability is Most Important, I'd go with the Provari. It is has MUCH Better Build Quality. And Provape's Warrantee/Service is Great.

How much of our stuff is made in China now? The big corporations and government really sold us out, didn't they? The Chinese steal the technology of everything we make in China so they can can copy it for themselves. And we let them do it because it makes CEOs, stockholders and politicians very rich while we lose our jobs and standard of living.

E-cigarettes, like chopsticks and gunpowder were actually invented by the Chinese. So I guess US clones like the Provari are fair game.

I have had 2 Vamos where the 510 threads had stripped within months no matter how much I babied them. I finally broke down and decided on a Provari. Got one on clearance and got a Standard with a 18650 cap and a 510 to ego adapter for 160 bucks. Don't regret it a bit. If you have any stores around that carry them try them out. Using is believing. Plus they are made a lot better.

yes, and the 33.3 chip is consistent til it hits 3.6v. But the provari drains a battery faster. fully drained to the cutoff, the provari lasts as long as the zmax does to 3.6v where it starts dropping off. Full charge to cutoff, the 33.3 chip is nearly twice as long for the same power
