yea at 10 bucks a day for smokes, 1 & 1/2 packs, i long ago quit worrying about what things for vaping costs. it just takes a couple highend purchases then getting a cheap copy to realize with most things vaping - value and quality wise you get EXACTLY what you pay for.( key word most)
the only mod i found even comparable - performance wise to the provari is my semovar, and guess what, almost same price.

I'm still at the stage where everything is new and exciting and it has been somewhat overwhelming getting to the point where I'm at right now. Its exciting because there's a lot of STUFF I want to try and experiment with. But, if you were blind folded and were vaping a Vamo and a Provari, do you really think the average vapor would be able to tell the difference? Probably not...:pop:

I just want to know if it is going to improve the taste of my juice/vapor production
No!

At least not with a Twister. If I set the twister and provari to 4 volts take two puffs on the Twister. Remove the cartridge and put it on the provari and take two puffs I sometimes think I can taste the difference. If there is a difference in taste or the amount of vapor it is to marginal to matter. I ams using a vision mini nova. I use a meter between the cartridge and the battery to check the voltage.

Any one who has vaped both would immediately, if by nothing else then the sound. I guess if you put earplugs in and were vaping a SR carto with a dark sweet juice you might be right, so we covered one possible set up out of how many set up combinations. Their are quite a few commonly used set ups where you would taste the difference.

Maybe, it may even be that you would notice more of a difference.

I am using 2.5 ohm vivi nova. 50/50 pg/vg and 7leaves flavor at 5% and 12 mg nic. A light clear juice.

I don't know about that.

The Vamo and Provari use a Different Board. And Different Boards make "Voltage" different ways. Just like there is a Difference between M01 and M02 modes in a Vamo.

But even if they used the Same board. I would still buy a Provari. Because the Provari feels like I'm holding something Quality. Whereas the Vamo feels like I'm holding something that is OK.

You should be experimenting! Vaping is fun and there are lots of different things to try! I got my ProVari to celebrate 6 months of being tobacco free! By then I had tried all sorts of clearos (top coil/bottom coil), cartos, LR cartos, carto tanks, dripped like a fiend, etc. I'm very glad I waited, since when I was researching what mod I might like, I knew what I wanted out of it. The ProVari wasn't the only device I looked at, and while I did take into consideration how much people I respect liked theirs, I am not noted for following anyone's advice. I take advice, then do what I want.

I love my ProVari, but I also love my Bobo. People thought I was nuts when I bought it and think I'm kidding when I say it's a great mod. It's a Sigelei Zmax for gosh sakes, it just looks weird.

You have to add every other battery device into that question or it's flawed from the start. Could a person tell the difference between a Vamo and a Twist? Between a Reo and my little 3.7v box mod? It's not all sucking and blowing pseudo-smoke.

If you were blindfolded, wearing earplugs, had a mask over your mouth and nose so you couldn't smell the exhaust, and were somehow suspended over the seats so you couldn't feel if they were comfortable or how bumpy the ride was, you could get from point A to point B in a Lexus or a school bus. Which would prove what?

That a Lexus is Way Cooler to own. And that a School Bus only comes in Yellow.

Glad i found this thread, so recently i ordered: ProVari™ Variable Voltage V2.0 with Digital Display - Original Design for $150 i don't know why but i didn't like the provari i had it for a couple of days and its on its way back to provape....<snipped for relevance>
Im as happy with a regular ego as with a high end mechanical. Enjoying every puff.

It's too bad you didn't like it. It's nice you could send it back. Not everyone likes the same things. I don't like mustard or pepper, but that doesn't mean they "suck." Am I bragging when I say how much I love garlic?

They absolutely do not do the same thing. There is absolutely no comparison between the electronics in a Vamo and in a ProVari. Look at the outputs for both in the PB video reviews and tell me they are doing the same thing. The Vamo puts out 0 V and 6 V at specified intervals with its 33 Hz chip to make its VV work. In other words, to get 4 V from a Vamo, you get 0 volts 1/3 of the time, and 6 volts 2/3 of the time.

The Provari uses PWM as well, don't fool yourself. And I said "largely the same thing" not "the same thing" so don't strawman.

Wait so if one is set at 4v and it puts out 4v, but the other is set for 4v but puts out 6v, were is the "largely" part, I mean I guess they both heat a coil up, so that's similar. I think it would be a stretch to say the both do "largely the same thing" in respects to how they accomplish VV. I got it, technically they are both using PWM, but it's all in the execution.
