Here's my mini with a 510-ego adaptor on it, and one with an EVOD attached to that connector.
It works well, but there is a significant gap from the evod to the provari well and some of the ego threads are not hidden.

This is using the adaptor that Provape sells on their website. I'm going to look for a shorter adaptor.

I have one on a V2 and mine sits flush. Maybe there is a difference in the design that causes the gap.

It could be the adaptor. I'm using the one that provape sells. It's making good connection so I don't want to force it and screw it tighter. Another brand of adaptor may sit lower.

I don't have a pic at the moment but I have an adapter from MFS and my Evods don't sit that high. They look pretty good on my ProVaris.
