For me this week it has not been going well, a roll groover I sent to a job site Monday, some how they sheared off 2 bolts, and I sent them our other one this morning. Then after the first groove they blew the hydraulic seals on that one. These are small Ridgid 918 machines, the only other one we have is a Victaulic that is on a pallet and weighs around 800 lbs. I dropped it off this afternoon, then took the other 2 in for repair. If they break this one, we are screwed.

Don't want to be gloomy, but I've used both Rigid and Victaulic equipment. If they've broken 2 Rigids already I'd bet they're trying to do something they shouldn't - like maybe the material is beyond the capabilities of the machines. No rest for the weary, friend. :(

The first one based on what he told me is impossible. He said they had it in the 300 machine and started it, and the 300 was turning and the groover was not, then snap. They had to have had the top roller, down against the lower one to stop it from turning, they turn easily with your hand. The 2nd one was just bad timing, that they blew out the seals. They are just grooving 2 1/2" sch 40 Blk pipe, not even all that large of pipe.:?:
