Is your goal to get down to zero or did you just want to see if you could do it?

If your goal is to get to zero, if that matters to you, think in terms of ratio... 12mg/ml to 6mg/ml is a 50 % reduction...6 to 3 likewise...I've read many a story where the final stages were the most difficult, and have been told that going from 3 to 2 then to 1 mg/ml made the transition easier. It also has been told to me that going from 1mg/ml to zero nic was difficult, but not like quitting smoking difficult. I'm not currently on that particular path, but if I do choose to pursue it it will be a very gradual reduction in nic level, combined with a concerted effort to control the times that I allow myself to vape. Just throwing this out there as someone who has an interest in such things...
I did it mostly just to see if I can. But it would be nice to get to zero and eventually not need to vape. Although I have enough nicotine that I don't have to worry about it anytime in the near future. Did the same thing today, and made another hour longer. The craving really is nothing like it would've been had I tried that while smoking, but it's still there.

The morning I had a PET scan, I couldn't have any nicotine before the scan. I mixed up some Zero nic the night before and used that. I went about 4 or 5 hrs w/o any nic and was still sane when I could finally vape my 12 mg juice again. I would have been crawling up the walls during my smoking days trying to go that long between 'hits'.

Caught my eye:
Wish I'd taken care of this mess I made last night, before going to bed, instead of waiting until this morning and have it in my face first thing.

After a couple years of vaping, I have found that i can go for hours without it, and not have the same crazy gotta have a cig right now kinda anxiety that I had as a smoker. It is more like it kinda creeps up on me thing, where I realise I'm craving some nic. nothing at all like when I was hooked on the smokes. Last time I traveled, I got by with putting a few drops of juice on the corner af a napkin, and placing it between my cheek and gum like a snus pouch. Only needed o do that like two or three times in a whole days travel. There's something else in the smokes that makes the cravings stronger...
Yes, I think that was well said.
I struggle with the language to describe the difference. But, for me, needing a cig was a deeply unpleasant yearning until satisfied. Needing another hit of nic off a mod is more like: ok, I'd like that.

Here's one for you...when I was a smoker, and riding around town with the wife, I'd get a lil ...... when she'd park close to the store, because I wouldn't have time top take a few rips off of a smoke. Now I park as close to the store as possible, because, it doesn't matter anymore, I'm not quite so..."chained" as I used to feel. Quite liberating actually, wouldn't consider going back to those days at any price, and back then, I would have paid any price to be free from those compulsions, and to top it off, vaping is virtually a pretty much cost free endeavor these days...lovin' every minute of it :)
