I wrote Illumination about those three bad Efests I got. Not sure what they'll say. Lots of these places are not good about returns/refunds for batteries. Buyer beware! But we'll see what they say. At minimum I would feel better going off on them. But maybe they're good people and that wont be necessary. If it were five or ten bucks I wouldn't care but it was $22. That's enough to put up a stink.

I have a few AW button tops (both sizes) still going strong but from the looks of things, I'm glad I have a lot that take flat tops (so I have learned) because it is really kind of a shame that a lot of the older provaris are going to be hard to use based on obsolete battery stuff.

@Bronze thanks for sharing your observations and stuff. I don't HAVE to use my p2s but there may well come a day when I want/have to. Etc.

You can get about three years out of an AW as long as they are used or stored with a bit of a charge on them and not allowed to deplete in storage. With AW not having produced a battery in at least a year (nearly) I am wary of their effectiveness now. I don't see retailers charging them so they are likely depleted and at least somewhat deteriorated.

Ok, the vape shop has 1 dragon and 2 gold (assume zenkote) for 75.00 each, if anyone is interested in a 2.5. They aren't listed on website so you would have to call and speak to Jaime. I forgot to ask if she has anymore button top batts or if I got them all.

Someone, take away my cc's. I just ordered titanium drip tips to go with the titanium Vari's and one of those waterproof mods since I already killed a Pico dropping it in the pool and I am not taking my Vari's out there.
That’s why I bought an Aegis for out on the boat. It survived (like nothing happened) a swim with the shrimp in the bait well.

One more option for ProVari Mini users who are concerned about smaller battery availability is to add an extension tube which combines with the extension cap to support 18650 batteries. Only a few choices left on Ebay, but the painted finishes can be removed to leave an clean SS extension. I got one years ago in blue cerakote and removed the finish with sandpaper and steel wool. A wrap could also be used to create a new, bigger Mini.

One more way for us to keep rolling with these beauties!

With all these parts suddenly available, it indicates to me Bill is out. Hey, if I was tech savoy, didn't have two dozen ProVari's between the two us and not supposed to be dead in three years, I would snatch up them boards.

The Efest red is a decent battery.
I have had a couple of 18350s for a few years and they are still going strong.

I ordered 5 and 5 Thursday, got them Saturday and have been running them this week.
I even have been using the 18490 in a mini REO.
    Good for my needs.
