I hope everyone is surrounded by those you love and are enjoying the holiday season. I will be alone (except for my two doggy buddies) but my daughter and fam will be here on Friday.
My family is 900 miles away, and my wife really doesn't have any family left, at least not that she cares for ;) so today we had a nice outing together along the Neuse River. Holidays are tough sometimes...but you do what you gotta do, make the best of them:thumb: so anyone who is with family, make sure you tell them you love them, give them a hug or a warm handshake, and enjoy whatever moments you have to share with them :)

Merry Christmas all! So far mine has been, pack up over the weekend, go to the "apartment" Sunday night, go to work from 7 am to 3 pm because I can't "use" my PTO yet, (It was so worthless, I saw like 6 people and none of them really NEEDED to be seen and even if they did, it was a total scheduling mistake, error, etc.) and then drive back.

Then, I had to email my dad. He's a punctilious emailer, so it had to be good. Like, detailed. Etc. Oh, I also spoke with my mommy today but not for long because I was busy trying to REPACK the "apartment" to like, come BACK to Tucson and it was way too confusing. Etc.

So, I am decompressing and saying MERRY MERRY Christmas, and I bet New Years will be the same only WITH the husband's insistence that like, I stay up til Midnight which I try to honor although it will probably mean my death or whatever. Depending. I might not do it this year.

The husband built me a couch for the "apartment" for Christmas and it's really great, honest. Only it took everything I had not to shriek "YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME ON THAT!!!???? I DON'T WANT A COUCH IN THE "APARTMENT" I want to LEAVE THE APARTMENT into my own house.

Definitely misguided, I pretended to be thrilled he also said it was "heirloom" quality and it most decidedly ISN'T.

I don't think I can leave him here much longer I am the LEGAL OWNER of this house, because it's in my goshdraned name I AM CALLINGTHE REALTOR AND GOING GO LOOK AND TELL ME HOW MUCH.

Last time I let the husband "refinance" a home (no one would listen) we wound up in a Bankruptcy. That cannot happen again.

For Christmas this year, I've asked Santa to make me a violin.

Sorry, to clarify; not MAKE me a violin, but make ME a violin. *

@gnees agrees (added strictly for poetic value).

Silly. Everyone knows that Santa doesn't actually MAKE any toys.

Elves do.
