PTB mod tastes funny

I tried the pyramid tea bag mod in my sb, and it tasted bad. although in its defense, it seemed to wick well, did i do something wrong? I folded it, and followed someones post that recommended fraying the edges to "cradle" the wick. maybe thats what it was, burning the bag, anyone else have a bad taste from this mod? did i do it wrong?

I tried that method before and it took me too much time and I don't think I ever got it right. Something to do with all the folding. Use the Blue foam. A helluva lot easier and no hassles.

If it is wicking well, then you have done it correctly. I have had the same taste issue with the tea bags. Every method possible that I tried still had the same results. I think it vapes great, its just the bad paper taste that I couldn't stand. Someone told me this taste appears when the tea bag cart is getting dry, which I still do not believe to be true. The material just tastes this way no matter if it is dry or soaked in liquid. It's just the nature of the material.
