Here we go... Everything from the parts list. 10k, 47k RES, 100k POT, 100uf 16v CAPS... Only thing I did not add yet we're the ceramic CAPS and 3AMP diode. I'll test later just wanted to show you my work in progress. Off to cvs for some ice cream.... :)

Sorry for the crap photos I used my iPhone.

Looks good
The caps came out as planned just a bit taller then the inductor on the module and a few hairs shorter then the top of the pot wheel. Let us know how it vapes when you get it hooked up.

Please keep in mind I'm using an analog (needle & gauge) multimeter while my digital is at the office. I will provide more accurate number at some other time.

47k RES without Diode (NO LOAD): 4.3-6.2

47k RES with Diode (NO LOAD):
4.1-5.9

I used an AW IMR 14500 battery for testing. I'll hook up an atty, vape and report back after a few hours of use.

Will advise...

Thanks again Java!

Your Welcome

That's pretty close to what i was getting for numbers. I did use a 18650 to power mine although i doubt that would effect unloaded voltages. Loaded voltages though it might make a difference.

Finally got paid so i will make a order tonight .. Got some Ti samples today. Just hope the parts get here by Saturday Usually only takes two days from digikey.

Yes tested great. Come to think of it, the batteries might be dying in that analog multimeter, so it could have threw the numbers off a bit. I'll test it a bit more tomorrow.

My wife getting a little jealous, I need to go spend some time with her.

"You've been playing with those damn ecigs thingys for two days straight now."

:)

Ah the life of a modder,,,,,,,, Have your wife go read http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/192284-dear-gummy.html#post3316758 then she will understand. (or not)

Built using a 47k RES; without diode or load, she's giving out 4.50-6.18 volts. Here are some more photos. The only areas that have glue are the atty connector, and the on/off slide switch cover. So everything can be moved to a better case if needed.

What do you think?

Looks good ,

Glad it is working and hitting good. You Running it off a 18650 ? how many Mah? Cant tell for sure in the picture.

My parts shipped today so maybe i will get them Saturday. I am off to do some etching

Java,

It's all running off an AW IMR 14500 600 Mah. I put the strip of electrical tape for easy removal of the battery.

Just so you know the TI booster will cut off at 2.95 volts every time so you don't have to worry about running your batts below the 2.5 mark.

Happy vaping!

PS. I would love to add an LED that turns on at 3.0 or 3.2 volts so we know when our mods about to shutoff. My next project...

Oh ok , a 14500 then that is even better 6.5 hours is not bad for one of those. You could get a full day for sure outa a panosonic 3100mah 18650. I just about bought a couple of them today but that would cut into my beer money, tough choices beer or batteries.

If this thing was powered by an 18650 it would definitely vape all day long wether it was an 3100Mah or IMR.
