Compounding the problem is a simple fact: vapers are not a monolithic group drawn from one political perspective or party. How then should the vaping movement activate politically in this U.S. presidential election in order to meet what is clearly is a political threat i.e. flavor bans, taxation, and other onerous regulations?

I'm not sure you can do this politically. I think the politicians are too deep into money coming from big tobacco, the settlement, etc. Then again, this is a volatile political year with a pandemic problem. That changes everything.

I do find it ironic that nearly every politician talks about "believe the science" except when it comes to vaping. Which leads me to believe there's something else, like money, working here.

Maybe the best is wait it out. My best guess tells me we're going to be back into a full blown pandemic in September. "Deeming regulations" doesn't seem all that important when you consider what is happening.

In other words, I'm responding just to be sociable and I have no good ideas.
