Its funny, I've only been lurking and posting a few days and have learned A LOT about eCigs.

Its great fun watching some of the Veterans talk about what's best for the NEWbs. After reading such a posting I actually took some advice and looked at the eGo T system. Made perfect sense since I was looking at a traditional 510 manual to begin with.

I was lucky that HealthCabin had their joyetech eGo T 900mAh (TYPE A) on sale 30%, that's $45.50 out the door for a Name Brand device. Which brings me to a question...

How Important is it to get a Name Brand product in this industry? I read a lot of reviews and there seems to be junk no matter where you go. However is there a general consensus to purchase the Name Brand materials first? Or do a lot of you(s) guys end up assembling eCigs a part at a time?

I was estatic when I saw that price with the 900mAh and the fact it was Joyetech too. I almost bought some off brands for almost that price and even with a smaller 650mAh battery.

This purchase is Primarily for the Benefit of my father. He has pancreatic cancer and is struggling a lot with convulsions and uncontrolled-movements when he is awake or asleep. He's been smoking since he was 11 years old, so a long the lines of 63 years smoking next month. Lately he's been burning holes everywhere. I had not even thought about getting an eCigarette until my dad started becoming very uncontrollable in his physical movements. Before I moved back to Bakersfield to help with my parents I was using the Disposable Square 82 eCigs when I lived by the bay. Going through about one every three or four days. When I moved back home I decided to just stop altogether, since my folks didn't know I Vaped, I just wanted to keep it that way. Also I didn't know if I would want to start smoking Analogs from hanging out with my parents, even though I never had that problem before now. Ten months on I haven't craved a single Analog or Binary Cigarette. So when I bought my dad his first eCig the other week I picked myself up one as well. I'm glad to say I have it under control which is amazing because I have had, and still do, have my issues with addiction. It's silly that I can keep something like Nicotine at arms length. I know I know TMI - Moving Right A long.

I'm grateful that they include TWO WHOLE eCIGS in mostly all Starter Kits. One for me and one for POPS.

Here's all the stuff we got:

1 ea. [Joyetech] Joye eGo T(Tank) 900mAh Starter Kit (Type A)
  • Color - Matte Black
  • Capacity - 900mAh
$45.50
1 ea. [Joyetech] JOYE eGo Mega Atomizer (Type A and Type B)
  • Color - Matte Black
  • Style - Type A
$7.50
2 ea. 10pc Joye eGo-T overflow prevention caps for Tank cartridges
  • Style - eGo T Type A
$2.00
1 ea. 30ml HC E-juice/E-Liquid(PG Base. 51 flavors)
  • Flavor - Menthol
  • Strength - 24mg
$6.50

After updating to DHL the bill was $80 even.

Wisdom states that you should keep atleast THREE Atomizers on hand, I only bought one additional Atomizer since this technically wasn't coming out of my pocket and to my mother its often difficult to explain that you need three extra of something. That is until it breaks or goes out.

I hope the 24mgs Juice works well since I like to have pretty heavy hits.

Personally I can't wait to start updating my setup.

Thanks for all the help of the folks around these parts.

Also, can't wait to go to the mall and talk to the only dude in Kern County that knows anything about eCigs. This is the dude who was hired to sell people their KOV 510 Manuals with all the fixin's and a bottle of juice for a mere $109.06 out the door. They operate out of those Kiosk Carts you see at the shopping malls. Reeling people in to spend just about twice as much on their product as you can buy it off the internet.

They have a Six Month Warranty. The only thing this Warranty covers is the Atomizer. You will get a FREE Atomizer for your 510 if it is between days 1 through 30. Then from Day 31 to day 180 it cost only $15 to replace that simple classic 510 Atomizer. Gee-Whiz what a bargain. I wish I could talk to the folks that took them up on that offer.

After the eGo arrives I will just walk by and wait for them to engage me and have them go into their Spiel... and then eventually pop out the Tank eGo like BOOO YAAAH.

Sounds like good choices! all in all i have heard of people having leaking issues with the ego-t but I have also heard people say they have never had leakage problems with their ego-c which I have had. I started out with blu's and then got fed up and moved to a knock off ego-c but got the real joyetech atomizers. Great choice.

That 900 mah battery should last all day with a normal vaporer (sp?). I had a larger battery on mine (maybe 1000 mah) but I never drained it with all day vape fest. you can also get a passthrough battery if say your father is more stationary so he would have a constant battery charge and can be plugged into a comp or the wall.

That price is great! for the pleasure you will get out of an ego.

I have addiction issues as well. almost like I always need a vice. but the good thing, and you probably already know this is that you can always get lower level nic juices, some down to nil. menthol really helps make crazy throat hits so in theory you could get a pure ice menthol juice that has 0 nic and still vape knowing that you have things under control. I started out with every thing at 24 mg. lasted about a month and a half and then when i ordered next I got 18 mg. But what I also did was get three bottles of 10 ml WTA ( whole tobacco alkoloid) juice from aroma ejuice at high levels (24-26 mg) and would add a few drops in conjunction with my everyday juice or straight drip when I felt I needed the nic boost.

sorry for the long post. Hope you and your dad enjoy!

I am fairly new here myself, and I have seen many more posts regarding fails with Ego knock offs than actual Egos. I would say you made the right choice, however there will always be a bad apple in every bunch. As for the tank systems, I havent heard good things. You may want to get some Vision clearomizers, especially for your father. They are so much easier, and they do not leak. Atomizers do usually give you the best vape, but they fail far too often, and require either constant dripping, or these tank systems, which I hear arent so great.

4 the record the leaking problem i had with tanks was short and sweet. I went back 2 route66vapor 2 days after i bought my ego-c toldem about the leaking. Randy said let me c u take a draw, I did 3 sec in to my vape he says theres your problem, your hitting it like a real cig. take a slow long draw. and SHABLAM no leak since.
