Pulling the trigger on LT!

Hey guys!

I have been using an Ego-C for about a month and have enjoyed it, but after doing some research and looking at my bank statements I have determined the LT to be my next logical step. I am ordering from here and will pick up a 2nd battery, ego adapter, and extra 510 atty while I am at it. (This is my first mod, and I have nothing besides the Ego-C supplies, which do me almost no good with this mod.) Will be ordering from here in the next day or so: Apollo VTube

I have plenty of juice, but just want to ensure I am not forgetting anything. At 8.95 the spare batt is reasonably priced, I think. I know the 2000mah's just came out, but I can deal without splurging on them for now I think.

Should I consider a drip shield? No experience with drip shields, I have simply read a little about them and wonder if they would provide any type of benefit.

I don't have much in the form of carts atm, but I am going to pick up some Boge 2 ohm (I believe that is standard resistance) to use with this, from what I understand the Boge are high quality and that resistance will be satisfactory. Is this thinking correct?

Anything else I should worry about?

Looks like you have most things covered. I think that you might want to bump up the ohm rating of your cartos in the future if you are in to high voltage, but that is a matter of preference. You might also want to check into tanks. I have no experience with tanks so maybe someone with some will chime in. Welcome!

Great choice I have had the L/T & Mini for over a week now and they work great,the carts I am using are the Boge 3ohm (2.7ohm) and they work great on the L/T
from what I have read the 2ohm may just be a little low to use the full range of VV on the L/T ???

Ill do more searching on the watts/ohms/volts electricity stuff... I am not a master there by any means. I will probably pick up the 3 ohm version and go from there if that works for you.

What is the lenght/width of the LT? I couldn't find the specs anywhere... How much smaller is the Mini?

Standard L/T is 12.75 cm x 2cm & Mini 9.5cm x2cm !!

I have a 1.6 ohm dual smotech made for a tank with a flange at bottom it wouldn't even fire on my LT not sure if it was because of the ohm or the flange so if i get a 2.8 or 3.0 would it work or hit the cutoff on the LT because of the voltage limit

The dualcoil you want to get the 2.5ohm that will give you full range.The 1.5 is to low will work but only at 4.4v no matter what you set it at.The dc cartos run in parlel.The higher ohm is better with All VV'S longer battery life as well.

ok thanks will try a 2.5 the 1.6 wouldn't fire or do anything i miss my tank lol the flavor was great but had to take a huge drag on a 510 passthrough to get any vapor

Sounds like we're in the same spot exactly. I've been using the Ego T for the last month and just ordered a LT also from Apollo. Actually 2 one for the hubby too. I have a bunch of LR dual coil cartos. Are those gonna be useless on the LT? What should I be using? Are clearos any good with the Lava? If so what Ohms? What's another carto that's a little biger than Boge SR that would work? Can I use dual coils? So much to learn.

Also I didn't get an extra battery. Should I and where what kind? Is it protected or unprotected? Again TMI. One thing I can say about analogs. They are easier. Light and puff. LOL O yea and die. Did I forget that part.

It wouldn't hurt to go pick up a few spare batts with the mini because from what I heard they have 700mah worth of battery life and depending on your voltage and frequency of Vaping you may go through 2 batteries a day.

Cool Apollo i have the same Kit with 2 bats and eGo case except mines called a Cylon its not a mini worked out to be about the same price not sure about the dual coils im using 3.0 boge cartos right now work great there just to short for my tank even so its not bad for vv

Get the Boge 2.7 (REG), not the 2.0 (LR). You do not need a drip shield. If the extra battery is an AW, get it.

In Grimm's video he throws on a 1.6 dc and it works but it will not go above 3.8 on real volts. It reads higher but he kept showing 3.8 on his tester.

That's because the lt is current limited to 2.5 amps.
