So sitting in front of ECF vaping away at my Evo, I remembered a trick I learned from messing around with my Blackberry Curve. So here it is.
Pop the black plastic cap off the battery using your fingers. It shouldn't be too hard. Look for the LED. If you can't find it, blow on it for a sec to find it. Take a red Sharpie, and color it. That's it!
The LED does become a bit dimmer once you color over it, but this is an advantage in my case seeing as it attracts less attention.

PS: If you're not sure you want to keep it permanently, take a small piece of tape and place it over the LED before coloring. Then color over the tape. If you don't like it, you can always take the tape off later.
PPS: If anyone can figure out a more effective way to change the LED color without any soldering tools, let me know!
