A guy I work with (who has been smoking for over 40 years) has decided to try e-cigs after seeing how well they have worked for me (over three weeks now). He chose a starter kit from a cigarette shop. I advised that he get an extra battery but the ones sold by Pure Smoke are almost as much as he spent on the starter kit! Does anyone know what type of battery Pure Smoke sells? I know that they aren't 808's (I have a Volt 808 and the Pure Smoke batteries are thinner and have different threads). I'm thinking maybe a 510 (just a guess)? I'd like to try to find a cheaper alternative until he is ready to get a better kit down the road, but I want to make sure he has enough batteries to get through the day without having to buy a pack of cigarettes. Thanks in advance!

I looked them up and from the pics it's hard to tell but they look like a cross between a DSE103 and an M401, I don't think you'll be able to find what they have anywhere else. I've seen stuff like this on the chinese cheapo sites like Deal Extreme but their made buy one of the knock-off companies so getting any spare parts are practically impossible. It would be a good idea to start looking for a better kit now.

    in a cave, eh?
Your best bet would be to hold off and save your money for a better kit.

If you need a kit that looks like a cigarette, consider the Smokeless Image Volt. When you are sourcing supplies, it's a KR808D-1 model. A Personal Charging Case (PCC) is a good accessory to consider with your kit.

If you've been vaping a while and are okay with a model that's a little bigger but gives you more battery life, that would be the preferred route. Consider a Riva 510, eGo or 18650 E-Power from Liberty-Flights.com. Boge LR cartomizers are good with those kits.

There are lots of sites that will sell you accessories for the aforementioned kits. You might like the prices from the sites I just mentioned.

Well it is obviously not a 510 or 306 - Puresmoke has male batteries and and 510 & 306 have female batteries.

And I see nothing M401 about it. That is not an M401 atty. Somebody said m401 attys screw on somewhat but make no electrical connection.

Not DSE103 - 103 is a female battery and male atty

Sorry I am stumped. He chose poorly

IMO he should buy something else and use the Puresmoke as a loaner to friends or as a backup.
