I know there are more lurkers than posters, even in our happy little thread, and I wish they'd come out of the shadows when they find stuff they like.

Guilty .... misswish1 knows I can talk when I have something to contribute, but so far I have just been soaking up all the knowledge available here.

I have been DIYing for over a year ...but recently decided to make 2ml tests of each of my flavorings, to find the flavor level, taste, and % to use ...you would NOT believe what that alone entails.
I have over 500 flavoring from everywhere out there.
I have a hard time tasting most of the flavorings after 56 years of destroying my taste buds.
Since I just purchased more of the FA flavoring I've added them to my testing.
I have to admit that I have probably 7-8 duplicates of the same flavoring, all from different company's, trying to find one I can taste, and that I like.
Blueberry is one of them ..I've used up to 18% trying to taste a blueberry in there somewhere.
Thanks to you guys, I found Bilberry, and at I-2%, it's fantastic.
I FINALLY found a blueberry flavor
All the rest of the blueberry flavorings have gone into muffins, sugar free ice cream, and waffles/pancakes.

I'm still searching for a coconut, (have 10 of those), cheesecake, chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, cherry, plum, waffle, strawberry, pralines, peach, and a bunch more.
I have a lot to try yet, just haven't got to them yet.

FA has some really nice tobaccos.
I don't like a strong tobacco taste, but find 7 leaves, black fire, liquid amber, maxx blend, oakwood, and royal to be very good.
The oba oba is very mild, fruity, and doesn't taste like tobacco to me at all.
I've got the mellow sunset, and Tuscan reserve mixed up, but haven't tried them yet.

I tried the nut mix up to 8%, and just maybe I got a hint of flavor ...have the hazelnut mixed but not tried yet
Same with the cocoa... nothing ...worked up to 6% ...nothing. What a let-down :(

I go through about 20 testers a week, so you can see why I haven't added to the thread.
I have found some fantastic solo FA flavors, like Custard, Lemon Sicily, Lime Tahiti, Hypnotic Mist, Bilberry, Kiwi, etc.
But the Mangosteen !!!! :nah:

I do have some great recipes, but have spent all my time testing lately.
The thing about my recipes, is I use a LOT higher % than you guys do, so other than the combo of flavoring, I can't really give you any recipes ...just suggestions.
I also need to alter some of my recipes due to the "bad" guys, such as my Hazelnut/Bavarian Cream..."Creamy Nuts"

These are just some of the combo's I like:

White Chocolate/Peppermint
Butterscotch/Caramel/Catalan Cream/Vanilla
VanCustard/Dulce de Leche/Caramel

Coconut Cream/Banana Cream
Chocolate/Peppermint/touch of menthol for "Andes Mints"

VirginiaTobacco/Chocolate/EnglishToffee/Hazelnut

MaxxBlend/Cranberry/Marshmallow (yummy)
MaxxBlend/Honey/Caramel
MaxxBlend/HyponoticMist/CatalanCream
ShadeTobacco/BlackCherry/Chocolate
HyponicMist/ObaOba

So, now you can see where I'm at, and why I'm not being very vocal.
I have lurked so long I consider you friends even if you don't know me
I just didn't (and still don't I guess) feel like I have anything to share (yet)
Still learning too much to say "this is the way it is"

Now if it's OK with ya'all, I'm headed back into the science lab, (and lurking mode)
Love you guys

Well now I guess I need to add Bilberry to the shopping list. I'm giving up on blueberry if that one doesn't do it for me. I'm beginning to think that's one of those flavors I'd rather eat than vape though. My sincere FA testing starts tomorrow after I restock 1ml syringes, but the Coconut has impressed me (though I'm sure the 1drop/2ml little batch I mixed is higher % than I really need... I hate drops).

And is that's what you come out with after lurking, lurk on.... and I'll look forward to the next post!

Can you describe what you don't like about the Mangosteen? I've never tried the real thing but hear it's delicious, so I have it in my cart for an order tomorrow. If it's just not done well or gross beyond subjectivity I'll probably remove it and pick up some Liquid Amber.

wow - you have been been busy, Passunca! That looks like a useful site and simple to use. I'd never heard of it before. It was a little weird at first to see your name on all my familiar recipes, but I see that's how dot1ml.com names stuff.

I like to imagine a discouraged/new DIY-er finding a good recipe, mixing it up, and being excited about their results. I know there are more lurkers than posters, even in our happy little thread, and I wish they'd come out of the shadows when they find stuff they like. That way we'd know which recipes have been most useful.

(Hate to say it, but IMO there are way too many.. erhm...bad...recipes on the web; honest comments are the only clue a new mixer would have to figure out which ones are worth a shot.)

So rocket or whoever might compile all the recipes in this thread - I'd vote for somewhere that allows people to comment.

I don't like it either that recipes are shown as Passunca's but, the only way to solve it is by creating your own account. Then I would delete my recipes and copy yours :)

I could include in the recipe name, HIC's xxxxxx, but then it would show Passunca's HIC's xxxxxxx, damn that's even worse.

As for the comments, we all know the internet. As you say I also like to imagine someone new to DIY having good results with some recipe but, let's face it, most of recipes around are just a bunch of crap, no matter how many "whoa" comments in there.

I believe, if you create an account, and comment yourself like you do here, it will be more than plenty to help new DIY'ers.

Bottom line, keep mixing because you have a legion following you :)

Vaping your Tame Rhum at the moment. Nice vape, btw. I've found it to boozy at first yesterday, but now it's fine.

WHOA!!! They're all there! Geez Passunca, you have been busy! Well...seems like I should pass the torch to PASSunca since he/she? is already on the war path. Never heard of that site. It does look very easy to use. Is there any way to get the measurements in weight? That's why I like e-Liquid Calculator. Daath recently added weight measurements.

I don't think so.
I also mix by weight, and what I do is download the eJMU file, then import it to http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/480587-new-calculator-try.html

I get errors from decimals import, but maybe that has to do with my regional settings, 0.5% usually becomes 50%.
Pay attention to that if you follow this method.

Passunca's recipes | dot1ml

So I definitely recognize some names in these recipes (HIC, we2rcool etc..) which makes it somewhat easy. Is there a way to maybe add PV or FA after their names so we know they are recipes from this thread, and recipes that only use FA?

ex- #headinclouds-PV
#we2rcool-PV

nice work Passunca!

One can add everything I guess. :)
I do it that way, because suits my organizing method. You can create an account, copy the recipe and modify to your liking, it's really that easy.

The simplicity behind dot1ml is amazing, IMHO. Even I can work with it.

I just wish it had two digit decimals, like 0,75% :)

Of course, whatever works, is whatever works (and that varies for everybody)...but oopsy, that's not 'remember correctly' :(

We mix English Blend at 3% total flavoring and find it plenty strong (as did a couple of others). But on your calculator Passunca's English Blend | dot1ml you posted (as above) 5% total flavoring and attributed it to us. So we've nset the original below (from post #1825 in this thread) so you can (pretty please) edit what was erroneously attributed to us. Of course, if you like it at 5% and want to make it 'yours' at that percentage, that's cool (you don't have to mention us at all). We just don't want an inbox full of "OMGs, that's WAY too strong!" type PMs :D

Tobacco - "English Blend" - oh yes, oh yes, oh yes, fan-vaping-tastic!

We got this idea from "Anthony" (a reviewer on ECX that seems to really know his tobaccos).

We haven't yet had a chance to mix up all the single tobaccos & test them, but we know we like Virginia with Latakia (and Desert Ship is FA's "Turkish") - so we thought this was a 'good bet'. And fwiw, we don't get "licoricey smoky" from Latakia - although we do get 'smoky'.

Virginia 60%
Latakia 20%
Desert Ship 20%

Again, we made a 3ml bottle of flavor concentrate and used it at 3%...and after 4 hours @ 150F we were thrilled with it. And after a few days there's no noticeable 'flavor change', it's just a bit softer and less 'robust'...VERY SMOOTH.

3% total flavor =

Virginia 1.8%
Latakia .6%
Desert Ship .6%

This one also has GREAT potential for playing with and customizing. If you like tobacco vapes -- DO IT!

By the way, we're really appreciating your compilation. It makes it SO easy to transfer recipes to our files. Thanks HUGE for sharing!

I'm sorry about the mistake, it's been corrected hmmm, almost... dot1ml doesn't allow 1.8% :D
But it's on recipe notes your original.

I have one bottle with "my" version to open tomorrow... Now that I realize that I've fumbled I'm scared :D

And did I already said your Dulce Fuego is one of my favorite vapes?

Everybody, stop spamming we2rcool with those "OMG (zero nic? :) ) that's way to strong" and go mix some Dulce Fuego!!!

Mangosteen, to me, is a nice flavor. It's a sweet complex flavor, to me, it tastes like a sweet smoothie, a mix of pear, banana, and tiny bit of orange. It's a subtle flavor, like Dragon Fruit. You can vape it alone as ADV, but kind of hard to mix with, I m use it to add complexity.

Here is a recipe I'm liking that has mangosteen.
Mango Tango (been tweaking the %'s a lot)
1% Mangosteen (FA)
2% Mango (FA)
1% Coconut (FA)
4% Mandarin (FA)

Also I find that a cream is good with it also.

Cool, thanks. I'll get it then. I'm curious.

Does anyone here use Evernote? That's what I have been using to organize everything related to vaping. What I really like about it is it's search capabilities and the ability to use tags.

I used to use evernote to store recipes. Lately though I just copy and paste recipes into my e-mail. I keep different vaping related folders in it. Juice recipes, o-ring sizes for different mods I have, McMaster-Carr lists of screw replacement sizes for attys I own, etc. Just helpful things I run across while browsing forums that I know I won't remember later when I need it.

WOW ..5:30AM ..I just barely had a warm spot in the bed .. Byrong70 is on the ball
He gave a nice description, and so did HIC
You may just "love" the flavor, so definitely try it.
It's all a matter of taste to each one.
I've never tried the "real" thing either, but I didn't care for the taste.
It tasted "musky" to me, and I remember thinking at the time, this is no good by it's self, and what would I use it with?"
It's one of the few tests I dumped ...just not my thing.

You never know until you try it
I don't eat Kiwi either, and I thought eee-u when I bought it, but I was willing to give it a try... it's one of my favorites as a solo flavor.
I've found it's not a good idea to judge the flavor until you try it ... lots of surprises.

Mangosteen just didn't appeal to me, but it has too others, so you have to try it yourself.
It was only my puny opinion

Slots - you sure CAN share them! Just list them as ratios, and everyone can decide his own strength. Mandarin:Lemon:Lime 4:3:1
I'm fixated on MaxxBlend/Popcorn. Not in a million years would that have occurred to me, but now I'm curious.
