Gahau, it puts you in control of how long the atomizer stays on. Basically you the switch goes between the battery and atomizer. It has a button on it.. You press the button when you start to take a drag. Let go when you stop. You can take a longer drag with out having to worry about the switch turning off. Also the manual switch are sealed at the atomizer end so that no juice can leak into it or the battery. Great for dripping. They seem to produce better vapor and throat hit that an auto switch IMO.

Ok here it is. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/puresmoker/6576-new-pilot-hybrid.html
Look at Steve's (cashmere) 3rd post down on that page. he states he uses a manual passthrough that has a manual switch.

This is his quote: "On a manual, dripping on a 901 atomizer is your best friend. I drip on my 901 manual USB all day, every day. Because it has no switch to screw up, when I start to notice the vapor decrease, I unscrew the battery to find moisture between the usb and atom. Dry it up, and go at it again."

I'm game too! I have been really curious about that too! Has anybody seen a manual USB passthrough for a pen style?

There are currently 3 penstyle manual switch passthroughs that I have seen available: Jantys KB, David Yang's and Sedansa. Janty, however, is the only one of those with the closed off switch.

Thanks for that tidbit of lovely info Lu! I will check it out..

You're welcome!

You can go to Janty and order just the passthough and manual switch...or you can order the whole kit.

Also note that David's with the manual switch only comes with his kit. The one on his site is a regular passthrough with a battery box...no switch. I think some people might have been confused by that too...thinking it had a switch.

No problem. I wish I could get a puresmoker version. The problem that I am having with Janty manual switches and puresmoker's atomizer is the airhole in the atomizer. Janty's atomizer has two holes on the sides of the atomizer. Steves has the hole in the middle. Being that the switch is sealed, it kind of plugs the hole in the atomizer making the draw really hard. Because the janty holes are on the side, they are not plugged by the switch. Still works, but it isn't as easy a draw as I would like.
