Purging a RDA

I have been building for quite some time now, but I still don't get is the point of purging (as in blow out through the rda) your atty before you lung hit.....Does it do something special, does it give you more vapor? I am notorious of over dripping so when I try to purge it I get hit with specks of really hot e-liquid.....What do ya'll think?

It just clears out the air in there before you suck it in so your inhale is straight vapor

Lots of reasons. It looks cool, it gives the coil a bit of time to heat up, it looks cool, etc.
