Purple 18500 1400mah

Are these batteries any good for a regulated mod or mech? A b&m had them and when I did a search not much came up.

If not I will keep looking for a battery to run my kick and KFL.

I didn't see a brand name on the battery, nor is one provided by the vendor. Not knowing the manufacturer of the battery, it could well be a clone or a knockoff. These can be re-wrapped used batteries from old lap top computers by disreputable Chinese battery vendors. Certainly not worth the risk.

In my opinion, the best 18490 battery available is the AW 18490 IMR 1100mAh 16 amp battery.

Looks like someone is trying to cash in on the Efest "purple" IMR battery shrink tube color. Wonder how many they'll sell, because someone sees "purple"... and thinks, that's all they need to know. ;-)

Be a little cautious with that, please Sthur. There are a boat load of AW forgeries... now, right down to the hologram sticker.

I ended up picking up a efest 18490 1100mah and according to bad's blog it's 8.8a which is plenty to run my kfl on my mech with a 1.4 coil in mini mode or with a kick. Anything over 1 is about half the battery's amp draw of 4.2a.
