Anyone having problems with receiving dead PURPLE manual pass thru? My sis order one and it was DOA. V4L replaced it and that one was also DOA. Just wondering if it's just the purple ones.

Does your sister have an old computer? Some people's usb ports are broken and don't even know it, or it could be an old computer.
I received a doa purple manual also, the usb connector was damaged and wouldn't make reliable connection. They asked me to send it in to them on my last order. I received another purple that I'm using right now that has no problems, as well as a black that I have in the car. Another gun metal one shipped today.
The bag that the pass through came in showed no damage, so I have to assume that the cable was bad at the factory. Some failures happen with any manufacturing. So not unusual, and the gang at V4L will make it good, they are the best.

Good point, I rarely use the usb ports on my computers, but know that the ports on my old windows box don't power my v4l pt, yet my macbook, work laptop work well. But a 2amp usb wall adapter works better
DOH! That's the color I JUST ORDERED. It's on the way and should be here tomorrow. I'll be sure to post as soon as I get it and test it out!
I just got a new purple manual pt on Monday. No problems whatsoever. I love the thing!
I just opened and plugged in my purple manual PT and it's working great. I will use it all day and test it out.
My sister's computer is brand new, like a month old. She also tried it in the car and nothing. I put it in my pc and car and still nothing. She has send them back to V4L. Let's see what happens. I lent her one of mine and it works fine on her pc.
I just got my purple PT in today and it's working great. With the awesome customer service I'm not worried about it anyway.
