Putting a RM2 in a drill to strip off chrome plating

I procured a drill today to drill out my Chalice (which is going to be a bit on the scary side) and to strip off the chrome on my RM2s. I am wondering what you guys have done in order to jig up the RM2 for this process. I am assuming you need to do something to protect the threads of the atomizer. I was unable to find a nut that would fit the end of the connection (threads too fine) and I don't have a spare 510 connection sitting around anywhere.

Ideas, please. Thanks!

I just used a snug drip tip and put that end in drill and took off top cap to sand it down.

I did my first two with my hands and a bit of elbow grease. My third & fourth I did with a 510-510 connector cause aint nobody got time for that.

do you have a 510 cig-a-like battery floating around, toss the rm2 on it then toss the batt in the chuck.

Snug drip tip in a RM2? I have never experienced that...

I did think that would be the way to go if any of the many drip tips I have actually fit snugly into the RM2.

Best I can do.

Don't need the unsealed version though.

You could, maybe, take a drill bit that's just under sized to go in the drip tip end and wrap it with tape until it fits in the hole real tight.

Try taking some dental floss or thread and remove your o ring on drip tip.Tie some where o ring goes and then replace o ring.Will make it more snug Hope this helps .

Good looking out. I am charging my drill now. Got it about 3/4 the way done and the battery crapped out. I also started with 600 grit, which is a bit low for fast removal but won't leave any significant scratches that I will need to sand back out with a lower grit. I can tell that it is going to look boss.

I need to score a brass drip tip now.

waiting on a 510 to 510 from Rob right now (among other things). Once it arrives im definitely going to start sanding off the plating. Looks kinda silly as of right now with a brass button cover and brass drip tip and chrome rm2.

Pro tip:

You hit the copper under the chrome first.

That is NOT the brass...Keep going
