LOL this post had me laughing till I cried and then this. I just about peed myself. That is way worse than waking up next to an ugly chick!

When you think of some of the things you've done over the years to retrieve lighters, etc., I can see it. If we go to that much trouble to smoke, it makes sense that we might do something similar to not smoke. OTOH I ALWAYS have a spare set up around so I don't get caught in a situation like this.

That's a pretty good point actually. I've done some pretty disgusting things to feed my nicotine habit when I smoked, and vaping has become the diametric opposite of that -- I'd do almost anything to keep myself from smoking again. And y'know what? If I only had the one battery and it took a swim in a soiled toilet bowl -- yeah. I'd brave the ureal depths to retrieve and hopefully be able to save it. Hands are easy to wash off. Lungs, not quote so much.

In all seriousness this is something I am always paranoid about, so whenever I'm around any body of water with my PV in my shirt pocket and need to bend over I reflexively secure my pocket so nothing falls out. Because an eGo might survive a dunking like that, but I suspect a ProVari would not.

Welcome to ECF. Yea the Riva (its Riva btw) holds up to alot of abuse, so long as you're not vaping the toilet carto, you're good.

That is something i would never do! No way am i reaching in to get a damn e cig battery if it has peoples piss on it. That is way too unsanitary to me.

Thanks for sharing - a pretty funny tale. I, too, might have retrieved my Riva and, like you, would have had to have several drinks beforehand.
