Everyone knows more than I do, so could you comment on the 510 at 5volts? Will the atty survive; hows the throat hit, etc. I was thinking about either making a mod (although so far, I suck at it) and was just gonna run a straight USB cord from a kensington to a 510 manual switch passthrough cut off an in-line battery box... 3.7 v is pretty ok, but I dunno about the wisdom of 5 volts on that little atty.

Thanks for putting up with a nooby mod question ;-)

you can do it right to the atty.

Just hook one to the other. That's it with a soldering gun. You can buy a 4XAA pack at radio shack for 1.99USD. Then just add the 510 connector inside.

I would like to find out how to charge 2 CR2 batteries myself. Someone gave me a link to charge one of them. BUT I don't know if one would blow up if I tried to charge both of them up at the same time......

:confused::confused::confused:

Connect wires straight to an atomizer?
C'mon DaMulta don't give newbies advice if you are a newbie yourself. :rolleyes:

Why would you do that unless you had an emergency and no other way to build your mod?
If you attach them to the atty, what happens when it dies and needs to be replaced?
You need to use a battery connector from one of your dead batteries.
You have a lot to read in this forum Robert, and so do you DaMulta, trust me, you prefer not to attach the wires directly to the atomizer.

Here is a good way to get started:

that's great, but I drove a 19 year old motor cycle 150 mph with a bad chain- so lol I going to try to do the same thing except I want 6 volts- got a link to those instructions? whats the worst that could happen...knock on wood.....

Exactly the same mod (box), just make sure to get the right batteries to fit in it for 6V.

Those are CR2 at 3v each, not to be confused with CR1234 which also come in 3v or 3.6 v but are bigger and will not fit in that box.

I maybe new to E-Cigs, but not taking things apart and putting them back together lol...

When It dies and needs to be replaced, just use the old soldering gun. It's not hard lol.....It is better if you use connectors, but you don't have to have them.

I would really discourage hard wired atomizers like this. It works if you're in a pinch with no other options....but it really gives you zero flexibility. Your stuch with whatever setup your wired to. I prefer to have the capability to screw my 901 atty to a regular battery for out and about.... magnum mod battery pack for the car or around the house...or the PCC if I'm at the desk or work.....I don't have a whole ton of extra atty's lying about.
