Q: JC turning green

I saw this comment on another thread. If this true, could someone please elaborate? Specifcally, would this only be a problem with unused, open bottles?

There were some incidents of this over six months ago and is no longer an issue. As far as I can remember, there also was no definitive explanation, and JC said the liquid was safe to vape.
