Quad coil question: 454 RDA on Clouper DNA 30

On order so I don't have them to play with yet. Wanted some thoughts on wrapping quad verticals to a total resistance of 1.8 ohms... Thinking AWG 32 or 34 gauge A1 Kanthal, wrapped 4mm ID, sitting vertical, wicked with cotton...

With 34 gauge you'll need about 7 wraps per coil, with 32 about 12. I would go with the 34 myself given your target resistance.

Thanks! I've been researching and I need considerably more wraps according to the steam-engine.org calculator. I want quads with a total resistance around of 1.8ish... Any thoughts on performance? It'll be on a Clouper dna 30 V3... Variable Watt device
