Purple glaze....... the effect on one's eyes when the purple led lights up :D Thanks Steve for the extra doors. I am going to get my neighbor to make me some custom holders for my fbm's. I hated laying it down today around potential adopters but had no pockets in my pants. 2 cats in hand = no fbm in hand. I stopped by a new brick and mortar shop on the way home and although they sold ecigs they had never seen a box mod and never heard of a bottom feeder. Expensive prices on everything but I guess that's what it takes to run a walk in store. Sure glad I have my fbm's and diy juice supplies!

Steve just wanted to say thanks for the fast shipping and service, Excellent again!

Checking in also, I still use my little stealth fbm when I am out and about. It gets beat around in my purse, leaked juice and it still works and looks like the day I got it.

Those 3.7s are bullet proof. I need to get some more made. I like using the 3.7 mod with the 1.7ohm smoktech cartos.

I was the same way Clay, until I ruined the threads with a bad carto in the wooden feeder I was using. Now I am trying to build up the courage to try and tear the connector out of it. I am just afraid I will ruin the mod trying to get it out.

Glad you are liking your bottom feeder clay. there is not anything more convenient.

Are you using attys or cartos?

Hey Steve
I just wanted to let you know I'm really liking my bottom feeder. I have not fired up my 5v or VV since I got it.
I appreciate your great builds and customer service.

Just stopping by to say THANK YOU and give a big shout out to Steve: I won a 5 volt Foxy Box Mod in the New Veteran's forum contest.....not only did he build and send it right away, but also threw in 2 batteries, a charger, a carto and some juice....in other words he turned my single mod prize into a winning package. This was done out of generosity....and today, I am happily vaping my new mod with my new carto filled with my new juice. And loving it all. What a generous, genuinely nice gesture.

Thank you, Steve. I really hope business is booming for you in 2012....you deserve that. I am so happy Godzilla was not destroyed by Mothra!

Signed.....One Happily Vaping New ECF Vet.

Six pounders are nice. definitely rod bending. That bass is my record bass. I only bass fished once last year, and hired a guide who is a retired pro bass fisherman. Andy Cuccia "The Cooch" is his name. He is quite a character. It just so happens I traded him two box mod setups for a guide trip out on the Delta. And it just so happens I caught my lifetime best bass that day, and also got the largest client fish for him all year. He is the president of my bowling league which is how I know him.

Its been a while since I have posted this info so I thought I would do it again. I shipped a lot of variable voltage mods lately, and want to give some pointers on voltage settings with different ohm ratings on your attys and cartos.

Be careful if you are a dripper, and wipe up any leaks.

Each VV mod is marked right on the dial at 4v, 5v, and 6v.
I usually use 1.7xl single coil smoktech cartos at 4v, and sometimes a little lower depending on the juice.. I also us 3.2ohm single coil cartos at 5v, and again, a little less depending on the liquid.

Here are some general rule of thumbs

3.7 box mod. - you can use 1.5dual coils, 1.7 to 2 ohm single coil cartos and attys.
5v box mod - I would stick to 3.0 to 3.2 ohms. 2.0 dual coils can also be used at 5v, or slightly less in a vv mod. 2.5 dual coil work, but they are a little light for me on a 5v mod, which defeats the purpose of higher voltage IMO. YMMV
VV mod
use the above info in selecting your voltage.

I also have a video on youtube on how to check the ohms on a carto.
here it is.
