Quality auto passthrough and cartomizers better than Boge

Hey guys I've been away from the scene here for a while. I've actually gone back to analogs because of my equipment crapping out but I have some money now to order new stuff and get back off analogs. I'm hoping you guys can make some suggestions for me because I don't have a lot of time to look into things since I'm preparing to move across the country again and have a lot of stuff to get done.

Basically my standard has been automatic passthroughs and Boge cartos. I'm hoping you guys can point me to some inexpensive 5v passthroughs and hopefully some alternatives to the Boge cartos that taste better and offer a better deal cost wise. Boge cartos last me about 2-3 days each and the passthroughs usually last me about 2 weeks before they start acting up which is really annoying but there isn't much I can do to change that.

I have tried Fluxomizers and they tasted worse than the Boge cartos and didn't last as long. I've tried the Stardusts, short wick and long wick, both of which had amazing taste but that went away within a few days and I could never get them to taste right after that so cost wise I deemed them a huge failure. I'm hoping that there are products out now that are better and more reliable, I've been VERY unhappy with the value of the equipment I've used. Thanks ahead of time!

Boge has had some issues with their cartomizers recently. Mixed explanations for why. You could try smoketechs if you want a carto or move up to Ikenvape cartos, if you want the best.

The clearomizers have their adherents but, they aren't for everyone. They are a lot better if you go back in with a cotton wick IMO but, buying something to mod it isn't for everyone.

I haven't used an automatic in a long time. I don't recall ever seeing an automatic pass-thru. So, can't help you there.

I haven't ordered from IKV but I've had the ones pictured as the Visions and the Clearomizers from the page you linked. The clearomizer had decent taste and lasted a while. The visions both short and long wick tasted the best but once they taste crapped out, there was no fixing it no matter how much cleaning I did. I do remember one of them crapping out much earlier than the other 2 I had but both of the good ones got screwed up from the auto passthrough failing which had turned itself on at one point without me noticing and warped the tube.

I'm surprised you've never seen an auto passthrough! Looks like they are really trying to phase that stuff out which is sad because everyone I know personally that uses an e-cig really wants a quality one. The only problem I've ever had with them is the juice leaking down into the electronics and causing them to either stop all together or turn on and off on their own, sometimes for a very long time. I thought I had heard at some point about some of these fancy mods you can buy, having something that would catch the leaking juice before it gets to the battery and electronics. That's all those need and there wouldn't be anymore issues with them, maybe add in a cut off timer at 8 seconds.

I might, I have a few other sites I've found that carry them. I'll probably get a 510 version since that's what most of the cartomizers have switched to. I was asking about them to see if anyone knew of any that were cheaper or better quality because the one I linked is the same crappy ones that I've always gotten and I don't find them to be the greatest value when I can't get but a couple of weeks out of them. I would gladly pay $50 for one that would last me over a year, I don't believe in buying cheap crap unless that's all that's available. When I could get them for $5 a piece it was more justified at least financially but still frustrating.

I got in the habit of taking the carto off to fill it even if it was using a drip tip and using a Q-tip to make sure the connections were juice free. That only helps a bit as the connections would still allow a bit to leak.

Yes I have been away for a while! Still wish someone would make a quality auto passthrough instead of giving up because cheap crap is, well, cheap crap. All that needs to be done is a drip catch created or to isolate the electronics better instead of making it super easy for the juice to leak down, follow the wires and go right onto the electronics. I've taken apart about 2 dozen of these things and it's always the same story. If the parts weren't so damned fragile I'd have some better luck with beefing them up but I'm tired of things you have to mess with. I will be getting a manual battery as a safety net but I would still prefer an auto passthrough that's decent. Maybe I should get back to my tinkering and figure that problem out.

Thanks for the link, only problem I see with them is they are regulated to 3.6 instead of the standard 5v or what used to be standard. I'm sure that can be overcome with lower resistance cartos but I've tried to avoid that. I also noted they have a 3 month warranty which I will look into because if I have to pay the shipping back and forth, that kind of ruins it.
