I just got my replacement tips. The Aluminum ones almost felt like plastic at first. Closer inspection shows that they are as advertised. I put on on a tank for a few trial puffs and it worked/fit just fine. I filled my lonely blue tank back up with Torque (thank god, it's been 3 days since I have had Torque) and damn if it doesn't look spiffy as hell on the blue tank. Torque is a nice light color so you can really see the blue and it has a nice 50's space age wave of the future vibe to it now. :p

I will update if I notice anything else. For now I am going to drain my other main tanks and clean em all out and replace the wicks and then see how good the metal ones look on other colors.

A possible tip for some folks with drip-tipissues on the Triton Tanks: I have one tank that ended up with not just one, but 2 of the tips failing, until I figured out the problem.

This tank at least, had the air shft tube just a bit leaning off-center, and I never really noticed, causing the tip to screw on poorly. I have picked up some replacement tips (ecigsplus.com, 85 cents each, long screw-threads) and gently nudged the center post into better alignment, and now no problems.

I know that may not be everyone else's problem with tip issues, but some may have the same problem, I hope this helps.

Yes! My GF thinks the aluminum tips are "retro" which is cool. BTW, speaking of "looks" and trying to keep the thread on topic LOL I've been toying with the idea of either some bling for my Triton tanks or entering the world of "stealth" with some mods. My inspiration is this pic:

LOL That's a real mod for law enforcement. :) OK we have a black 650 and a black more threads tip. All that's left is the platic Triton tank with carefull attention to the air holes. Any one done this?

Looks like a nightstick... Can I get one in purple with green flames?

Liking the aluminum tips quite a bit. I like them in the morning when they are nice and cold on my lips. Still worried about my teeth though. Almost bumped myself driving. I replace 4 of my 6 tips so far, looks snazzy on all the colors I can safely say.

now that I have 4 of them side by side I noticed a weird little anomaly, one that wont affect anyone for sure, and is not noticable in the slightest unless you have multiples side by side. I have one, on the blue tank (first one I used) that is every so slightly smaller than the other 3. It's a midget.

Two weeks from my first order and one of my tips came off the thread piece. I can push the tip back in and still use it at the desk but I wouldn't trust it in my pocket. I have the short threads. The four plastic points that seat and get glued to the metal broke free. The design could be improved by machining small holes on the metal where it's normally glued. Then have a hot press cylinder to go in and melt those four points into the drilled holes. Problem solved. I will attempt this on my tank after I buy a couple small drill bits. I just like to tinker : ) I really hope Halo releases some all metal tanks or some decent glass ones.

I prefer the longer threaded mouthpieces, but it seems random as to what tanks come with them. I don't use tanks more than a month, or so, so save the tips when I ditch a tank, so have plenty of extra tips in my vape box. I wouldn't want a metal tip, as I vape when I drive and like my teeth. A quick stop with a metal mouth piece could lead to trouble.

Since I do not "bite down" on the tip, plastic or metal work okay for me. Apparently the rason that the Triton tank tips can fail is that as they heat up from vaping, they can tighten quite a bit, which is why you should screw them on enough to be "snug" but not real tight.

I really like how the Triton tanks are very leak resistant compared to say a Vivi Nova, but then the down side is that they can over-tighten and the metal threads can separate from the plastic part of the tip. IMHO, there has yet to be a "perfected" clearomizer/tank system, but then vaping is still an evolving technology.

I have Triton tanks, mini tanks, Kanger M3s, Evods, iClears, Vivi Novas, Pro Tanks, etc., and the Triton tank ranks among the top both in performance and design. I don't vape any "tank-killer" ejuices, so the polycarb bodies are fine with me, but it would be nice if Halo comes out with a pyrex tank for the Triton for those who do vape those flavors.

I just had a tip shatter in 5 pieces. I was under the impression that it was from a tank killer juice, but I'm starting to think that was only part of it. The clear part of the tank shows no damage at all, so maybe it wasn't the juice (though I'm sure it helped weaken it for the short time I had some in there)

I could have been the ejuice, but equally likely the tip was just tight enough that combined with the heat...ka-pow! Although I do not at all consider it a poor design, keep in mind that the Triton tank tip forms a pretty tight seal with the top of the coil. That coil heats up quite a bit over an extended vaping session, and of course expands. That is why it is important not to tighten the tips too snugly...just enough to be snug, but no more than that. As you vape, you may notice that the tip tightens up quite a bit, so if there is not enough play for expansion, it can break. While I have never had a tip break like that, I can see how it could happen.

I've had the same issue with one of my replacement tanks/mouthpieces. I ordered two replacement tanks and one of the mouthpieces on one of the tanks literally popped off the threaded piece halfway through threading it on. Very frustrating when I know it had nothing to do with user error/over-tightening. I've emailed them just letting them know that it's a problem.

Mine all have short threads and the plastic is breaking off the metal thread piece. Straight up breaking off. Also the last order I got two spare tabks and the tanks posts were bent so the wick post sat off center causing more problems. Halo says they are looking into selling tips only but I doubt they will
why would they when they can make more selling just tanks.their juice is expensive enough now I can only buy their tanks and tips?. (Their juice is so damn good though!)
Was going to order a few of the short thread kanger 2 replacement tips but am not sure if they work???

Knock on wood.....I haven't had these issues yet, but I have about 10 tanks and 5 mini tanks brand new in packages yet used. I have no idea if they are short or long threads. I did notice a few of my tanks after filling, it takes quite a bit to screw the mouth piece back on. I thought I was just not lining it up well. I'll have to go back and see which mouth pieces they were and look at the threads.

IMHO, I really wish Halo looks at this closer, fine tune it, fix it and then offer ALL kinds of colors like they offer for the G6...I mean, why offer these for the G6 and not the Triton?? I would like to be able to "customize" my PV more and the teal, pink, purple and (so on) tips would look cool.

So would that dang glass tank but not going to go there again...

You are a broken record, for a good cause. Just wanted to echo your enthusiasm for these. I replaced all my plastic tips months ago now and really like the metal ones. 0 issues.

though I think I need a few of those drip tip adapters, I have a few delarin tips I would love to use on my Tritons.

Thx!!!! But can you convince these guys who make these tips to add cute colors??? I KNOW you guys want colors like what is offered with the G6.. pink, teal....;)

Ok seriously..if I ordered these tips, do I need an adaptor or do they fit the Triton? I was sleeping/drifting off if you answered this already.
